The Shower was going hot-cold-hot-cold and wouldn't keep a regular temperature, and the floor flooded.

It was fantastic that the room was sectioned off so we couldn't hear each other snore :). Also, we had just completed a long tramp and the room was on the ground floor (yah!)

I was cold at night but staff gave me another heater. Electric blanket didn’t work and the property is tired and dated apart from bathrooms. Smells a bit damp.

The staff were great, bed was comfortable and bathroom had been updated.

The place is hard to find as the address that was previously showing online was 61 Luxmore Drive when it is off the side street which recently was updated.

Hotel is quite old in terms of the interior & exterior but that wasn't a major for me. The rooms have been done up so was happy with that.

Room was good and had pretty much everything I needed. Location was great for Te Anau and access to Milford Sound area.

Unit was quite dark and the shower over a high sided bath made entry and exit difficult. The exterior of the building is in need of a good clean up and paint and the car parking is poor with big potholes and extra large puddles to walk through. Wouldn't want to stay any longer than one night.

The unit was very dated but at least it was clean.

Our room as close to one of the main entrances and as it was a Saturday night lots of people were coming and going. They were very boisterous and noisey and kept waking my husband up.

Lovely wee room, clean and tidy. Maybe call it a motel instead of a hotel. Hotel implies a bar, restaurant and breakfast. I didn't see a bar or restaurant or any information if you could get food there.

It does need a spruce up but realise post Covid businesses are just recovering and this did not impact on our stay.

Convenient simple but very clean and very warm. Provided extra crockery and cutlery for us.

Wasn't overly clean. Obvious dirt and stains on walls and carpets. Shower floor was sticky.

It was OK for an over night stay. Wouldn't stay longer. Bed was Average. But typical for a motel.

Days after I had booked I read very nasty reviews and almost cancelled. Glad I didn’t. Sure the hotel is a little out and not too close to town, but the friendly helpful staff makes up for it.

The very friendly staff, who helped me very much to catch my tours.

The location is just at the beginning of Te Anau so it’s a good 15 min walk to town Center. The building was fairly old and had a musky smell. The staff was nice. The room was clean however the bathroom was very small and tight inside.

The ping pong table in the recreation room and ample parking. The heater in the room was lovely since the room was so cold (travelled in March).

Poor internet wifi reception, bathroom water not able to flow down easily into the drainage, shower tap is difficult to turn it on.

Location of hotel is just at the crossroad- near to town & other further towns in the South Island.

A big group of guests were making noise, talking and walking in the hallway throughout the night, which didn't give us a good sleep. Not a good induction was given by the host. There was some playing stuff in the main amnesty, we could see them only when checking out. The kids missed using them or playing. The sink and tab were hard to use and close. water was tipping no matter how hard you turned them. Couldn't find an iron in the room.

The breakfast was good. the host was kind not charging for the kids.

No cutlery such as bowls, plates, and knives available in the room, so we actually took some from reception No microwave, so you need to come at reception to heat the food, which was a negative for me Need improvement in services. Old property, so needs a touch of refurbishment like door locks etc..for toilet.

    Comfortable beds Hot water availability

This hotel is definitely past its best. The room was OK and the bathroom was modern, but the TV was very poor quality and the public spaces very tired and smelt musty. We spent time on the fairly basic deck which was OK, but did not want to spend any time in the lounge. The bar was closed and the restaurant for breakfast looked very forlorn. This place needs a lot of upgrading.

Room was comfortable, reception staff very friendly.

This is not a modern facility, its low cost and dated. But I love that, it will take you back to the 70s. I hope they open up the Retro bar and don't renovate it too much - such a genuine step back in time
