We loved everything.

The breakfast was amazing. Super close to amazing resturaunts and shopping. Loved the nibbles and drinks in the library. Loved meeting people from around the world. Highly recommend and will return!

Steps, and needs some more wall hooks somewhat small if two people stayed in the room, and would be a problem for a wheelchair.

Great place to stay! Amazing breakfast, walking distance to bars and resturants. You also dont have to pay for parking. Staff are always a pleasure and nothing is to much trouble.

Small room and bathroom, dark, no hole on door to see who is on other side and opened directly to outside.

Friendly staff and library open bar in PM and complementary drinks and snacks, able to meet other guests. Stylish decor. Walking distance to Ponsonby and not a far drive from downtown.

The room was much smaller than I expected as they look much bigger in the photos it hard to get air in with small window openings. The fridge is so small we couldn’t fit the wine bottle in. There was an iPad to use for service but it was not charged and didn’t seem to stay charged we were not given instructions on its use or how to use the heating so we couldn’t adjust the temperature. There is very limited light in the bathroom to do make up so that was difficult as we were going to an event. We weren’t told how to access our room at night and hoped when we got home could get around the side of the house, luckily we could . It would have been nice to get some more instructions.

The room was nicely appointed having lots of nice details added in and had what we needed, the bed was amazingly comfy we loved it. The breakfast was incredible we felt very spoilt having this in bed. Our room was street level so no view but a quiet side street so it was fine and only for 1 night. The water and soft drinks in the minibar were great and just what we needed when we were there.

Bathroom tiles could use some non-slip bands. And an explanation of the floor and towel heaters wouldn't hurt. Wouldn't hurt to store the hair dryer in the bathroom either.

This hotel is a gem! Beautifully appointed, thoughtfully designed, it is super comfortable and welcoming. The staff really make an effort to provide everything. They are helpful, friendly, and efficient. In addition, the breakfast was lovely on the porch. Finally, the neighborhood is great for walking to restaurants, shops, etc in the Ponsonby area.

Hotel Fitzroy is in a beautiful, historical-looking building in the lovely neighborhood of Ponsonby, Auckland. The room and adjoining bathroom were beautifully decorated and spotless. We appreciated the small touches that Hotel Fitzroy thought of including a small bottle of champagne in our fridge, free snacks, and a delicious, included breakfast. The breakfast! This was such a luxury and delicious - we chose to have ours out on the balcony in the morning and it started our day on the perfect foot. The A/C worked well to keep the room cool even on a very hot summer day. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. Location was 10/10, would definitely hope to return one day!
