Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThat we met at one location then sent to another location to our apartment, ( lucky we hadn't been dropped off ) uft milk in fridge had already been opened so we couldn't use it, entrance to apartment and grounds need some attention. Check in not so friendly.
Nice apartment, clean and comfortable. Beds are great. We got upgraded- to our own apartment ( to be honest I always thought I had booked for the price our own apartment anyway? ) Range of tea excellent and a nice touch.

AustraliaWifi was intermittent and not very fast when downstairs. Location had very little mobile data reception. No dryer so had to rely on pedestal fan. Downstairs toilet is not very private.
Unit was new and had good size rooms. Parking directly out front. Large fridge, comfortable sofa and good heating. Washing machine was available.

United StatesI had to get Uber to go back and forth to Auckland. Could have taken the train or bus but as I only had 1 day in Auckland, no sense in doing that.
I liked that it was a house and I rented a room in it. It is in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the town center of Ormiston. Also, there was a sitting room with coffee and tea upstairs and a full kitchen downstairs that I could use.

AustraliaWalls very thin, leaving little privacy between guests. Had to ask for guests next door to turn their TV down as it was mounted on the wall our beds were located, after doing so meant we could hear their every word spoken and likely vis versa.

Russia1) In first of all -this host tried to cancel my reservation what has been made 2+ months in advance due 2 days of my arrival - it’s too strangely . 2) I had no any communication , recommendations etc from host during my staying . 3) Too complicated self check in procedure in off -time of reception hours , remind some quest game 4) Surprisedly in this very modern apartments where are lots of automatic electronic systems aren’t elementary USB sockets or an adapter for guests around the world .

New ZealandIt was impossible to use upstairs dining area, which was actually looking great, very friendly, as that area's temperature was 29C and there is no A/C available. The room has A/C, but at the arrival time the temperature inside the room was 28C, had to wait around two hours to cool down after turning on A/C. It might be a good idea to turn on the A/C before patrons' arrival. I indicated my arrival time at the booking time, and I arrived on time, but inside the room was super-hot. Otherwise, it's a good accomodation. Recommended!
