Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Beautiful secluded property set on hillside vineyard not far outside Queenstown. Very private luxury villas with hill views, set amongst its own first class restaurant and luxury facilities including spa, winery and cheesery. Lovely views and very peaceful.

The rooms were luxurious… big comfortable bed, relaxing bath and cozy warm fire. It was heaven. We booked this last minute and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely recommend - it was a highlight of our NZ trip!

KuwaitThere is no external signage for the hotel, nor is there any indication of its location, unfortunately. The hotel seems to assume that all guests are already familiar with its whereabouts. The hotel's location on Google Maps is incorrect, making it impossible to find the hotel and its entrance at night. I spent three hours searching for the hotel in the dark and was about to book another hotel when, by chance, a taxi driver guided me to the place. I had been in the area for over three hours without seeing the hotel because they had turned off the lights and closed the main entrance. Secondly, the food in room service is extremely poor, very very bad.
The staff are very friendly and the massage sessions exceeded my expectations.

AustraliaThe accommodation is really close to the major road so is noisy when the doors are open. The staff were a little aloof and not as welcoming as other luxury accommodation in the area. The price per night is very expensive for what you get.
The villas were beautiful, immaculately kept, and cosy. The proximity to the vineyard and cellar door is a great advantage to be enjoyed.

United KingdomThe main restaurant/lounge area linked to the accommodation did not have enough staff so was not usable. Dinner was in the winery cafe - food was good but was not the same as when we stayed before. No mention of this prior to arrival, very limited menu considering we had booked for 3nights and duty manager (4th in 6months) unable to resolve problems as they were the domain of the owner who was invisible.
