* One of the room fridges wasn’t working (booked two rooms) * Extremely stringent check in rules (have been travelling since 8 years in the entire Nz and this was the most strict one * Need a better and welcoming and friendly front line staff * More facilities in the area. There are so many run down areas which can be used to invest in stuff for kids to make the venue more attractive for people.

* Excellent heat pump. Must for autumn spring n winter months and Taupo is generally cold anyway. It was even on when we arrived!! * Smart TV * Nice view of the outside from the room * Carpeted so didn’t feel like we are living in an igloo * Walls weren’t cold so heat pump heated the room fast.

The bathroom sink kept blocking and backing up. We were also advised we cause use the spa bath but when we turned it on it had a funky smell but other than that. Great experience

The bathroom lock was very high and my 9 year old couldn’t reach it.

Kids loved the layout with the spacious loft bedroom and the big spa bath out the back. Beds were comfortable and rooms were warm.

Only the spa jet needs to be cleaned because of the nasty rotten smelly when my daughter pressed the button to make it bubble and it made a nasty burst odour. Even the tap water itself is not a nasty odour. Only the spa jet needs fully cleaned.

The property looks cozy and warm. It smells clean all of the rooms. Even if it was cold weather, the room was so warm when we entered our room and it made us feel so welcome. I wouldn't mind coming back again in the future.

Bathrooms were not great. Grounds very run down. It is absolutely budget accommodation which is why they are cheap, so do your homework before you book. It was fine for our family, but we are not too fussy.

Walk to the thermal spas and surrounding park, and they have a cheap room rate. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy and clean.

We hadn't really looked into the place before we booked so we weren't quite ready for what we saw. When we went down the driveway and then pulled up into the reception area we were expecting the worst. The reception building is quite dated and then the buildings next to the chalets was a bit off-putting. We were staying in the chalet at the end of three and the pathway to it was quite narrow so it was quite awkward to have to squeeze past someone standing outside of the first chalet to get to our one. Maybe making another entry point would be good? Once we got over these things we definitely did enjoy our stay.

The chalet had a certain charm to it. I really did like the room and the Spa Bath. The chalet was also very clean and had everything we needed in it. Clean linen, towels and so forth. The beds were also very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern. I liked how quiet it was in the morning and sitting outside listening to the creek and the birds singing was very relaxing. The charming little bridge we crossed was also a nice touch. The receptionist had a friendly smile and was very welcoming and helpful. It definitely has potential to be a great place to stay.

The bathroom had been redone which was lovely, however the roof in there really needed a sand and a paint too to finish it off, just seemed half done.
