Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

New ZealandCutlery minimal .the plates and cups were dirty. Rooms rather rundown and bathroom needs work. Reception needs to work out better system of meeting guests, talking to yr guests in another room behind a door is not a good look. Will not be staying here again.
Beds were pretty comfy.but not enough blankets.we had family of five. And in mid may pretty cold. No wall heating just a little sq box heater you plug in. In adequate. If yr looking for a handy room to town. This is it.if yr not fussy on looks this is it

New ZealandI arrived a little after 6pm and despite being told the desk would be manned until 7pm . ,there was no one onsite and after I phoned for info was told an email had been sent earlier that day...I was travelling Also the fridge made an annoying noise which woke me up severaltimes until at 3am I discovered the source and turned the fridge off.

New ZealandNoisy, can hear phone conversations through the walls - down the hallway. Tradesmen there til late working on a room up the hallway, so noisy! Noise from the building next door was awful. Don’t book the budget room. The stairwell going from the reception upstairs was filthy. Chocolate eggs on the floor and dusty. Very strong cooking odours fill the entire reception and hallway areas. Needs a good scrub and airing out. I have been coming here for years, was always so nice!

New ZealandThe lock was stuffed. Had to twist the key really aggressively to unlock and just as difficult to then extract the key. The TV did not work. Staff checked it and could not get it working. Asked for an appropriate credit to made to my account. Was told I would have to write to the Manager. I said I've told you and you should undertake to action the matter. I doubt the young lady has done anything.

New ZealandCould not contact the hotel directly to specify my room requirements, phone was only answered by a remote receptionist, not familiar with the hotel layout/rooms, was told to book on website, which did not have the information I needed to book the room I intended. Photo of room I booked did not reflect the room I received. The room was musty and my companion suffers from asthma. windows were difficult to open. Bathroom area was not as clean as hoped. No TV channels except UTube available, told I should chrome cast. No thank you.
Water pressure in the tiny shower was excellent and consistently hot. So yay for that. Also location was a big factor for my choice.

New ZealandThere was grime build up in the sink and around d the faucets. The glass bathroom shelf had someone else's beard trimmings on it. I don't think the room had been vacuumed. The other people staying there kept me awake by screeching, shouting and banging loudly on the walls. I got back to the accommodation on the second day and the hallway carpet was just randomly torn up, cut into strips and chilling on the floor, still there the next morning. The bed creaked concerningly every time I moved, and had springs sticking into my back. The chair was stained. You get what you pay for, but I at least expect cleanliness when I choose accommodation.
I was amused by the pattern on the shower walls. The curtains functioned as expected. The door locked.

I booked a cheaper room for my friend and I for 2 nights and I was aware the amenities would be basic but I expected at least clean. When we got there the room was absolutely filthy with rubbish under the bed, splashes of I don’t want to know what on the walls and shower door, a floor I wasn’t willing to walk on barefoot, and to top it all off no curtains or smoke alarms. They upgraded us to a larger cleaner room which had a non operational spa bath (not that we would’ve used it), a broken shower head and dirty bath mat. The drawers on the vanity were broken but at least it had curtains I guess

New ZealandNo milk in empty fridge. Milk powdered equivalent only for tea or coffee hence no milk for cereal I brought. Unexpected unattended front desk. Instead a phone call to use a drop box with call cut short after giving drop box number I asked but was cut short when I asked for the location of the bus stop for the Airport Express bus which passed by. Television had no local channel available Remote with limited facility to change channels or select from You tube A facility in Downtown CBD Wellington could well affort Free to air channels . WIndow looked out ontto a brick wall. No local information provided in the room.

There was little to like in this place. Tired, worn out, lacking everything comfortable. Shower was hot. Towel clean. Other guests lovely. Car park OK.
