How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The double bed in the room was pretty uncomfortable, felt like an old mattress. We sunk into it and had sore backs and necks the next morning.
The room was clean and very tidy. Felt nice and warm and it was modern. The lady who owns the hotel was lovely and very friendly.

It is a spacious, clean unit centrally located to explore the northern tip of the Northland. The manager was very helpfil and provided lots of infos. Thank you very much for a very nice stay. I would stay here anytime

The kitchenette could do with a few more pans and cutlery.
Easily found location alongside the state highway but surprisingly not noisy. Very helpful and welcoming host. Reasonable size for 2 but it would have been very tight if all 4 beds were occupied.

Though it was strange we couldn't get extra towels. We were provided 3 towels for the 1st night and asked for more as we showered when we arrived then again in the morning because we were attending our Grandfather's unveiling that day. If there was a towel dryer I would have been fine to dry the towel there but there was no luck. Anyways we were provided with towels but there was hesitation. Maybe bring extra towels if you plan on staying 🙂
Nice place to stay. Clean when we got there. Cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

we were very happy staying without any problems.
the friendly welcome and honesty were really appreciated. the room was excellent and the grounds were stunning. the pool and spa looked inviting. we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying again.

Some parts of the carpet were wet, the chairs were split and were taped up, the towels had some sort of bleach stains on them, curtains in bedroom are shorter than the net curtains? The fridge was not cold (was turned off)
Great location, cleanliness, decent shower and good sized rooms for up to 4 people.

The air conditioning unit didn't heat up and the night we stayed, it was very cold.

I had booked for 3 people (2 adults and an 11 year old child) and there were only 2 towels in the unit. Theres a sign in the kitchen to keep it clean and tidy, but no teatowel to dry dishes
It was a comfortable copy unit, with just about everything we needed Having a supermarket practically next door was great

The price for the amount days stayed, Not as much utensils to use for cooking etc, Not as packed up with towels, soaps etc.
The showers were good, The staff were easy going & close to supermarket etc. Love the Netflix and internet.

There was no bars of soap for hand washing in the bathroom and kitchen. Could hear the neighbour's t.v through the wall. Not cheaper for cash.

More towels. The room was booked for two adults for two nights. There were only two towels for the stay, the times that we were in and out prevented us for asking for more (so that's on me). The tea, coffee and milk wasn't topped up either which I think if I asked we would have been provided more.
The overall size of the room was excellent. Well furnished and kitchen well supplied, couches modern and comfortable. Fridge worked very well with the water pressure in the shower amazing. The pool was also well maintained with the outside entertainment area well covered and clean.

Fridge didn't work, but we didnt realise until quite late. It would have been nice if the beds had a duvet as well as the sheet and decoration blanket.
The price was great for the size of the apartment. Friendly staff on arrival.

Plumbing noise between rooms when water is being used is quite loud, & you do get road noise.
