A small suggestion would be a king sized bed; and getting the bags up the stairs to the apartment is challenging for older people.

Unique, expansive, and beautiful, Kauri House is a very special place to stay. Perched in a private location with a 270-degree view, this multi-room apartment is spacious, well-appointed, and crafted with loving care. Bill and Noelene are extremely gracious hosts, and the breakfasts (included) are VERY generous and delicious. Highly recommend.

Amazing hosts! The real deal B&B experience. Felt like we were with family. Hosts went out of their way to drop us off twice. Breakfasts were incredible (black peach!!). Bed and living space were very comfortable and views were incredible.

We absolutely loved Kauri Apartment. It’s spacious, well equipped and has the most stunning panoramic view of Lake Wanaka and the mountains - it was great to sit out on the extensive balcony and take everything in. Noelene and Bill are really friendly hosts and serve up excellent breakfasts. Very highly recommended.

Lovely views over Wānaka. Large apartment, comfy bed, well equipped. Fresh flowers in the room. Had great breakfast and Nolene and Bill were really friendly and helpful. We even had a lift to drop off our car at one end of a walk to avoid walking both directions.

Noelene bent over backwards to look after us during our 2 night stay. The views from the lounge over lake Wanaka to snow capped mountains were amazing. The breakfasts prepared for us were fantastic and totally unexpected.

Bill and Noelene are excellent hosts. From the detailed driving instructions to the property emailed to us a few days before our arrival, the wonderfully furnished premises, the great suggestions to hikes around the area, the delicious breakfast served every morning and the beautiful view from the balcony. Driveway, a bit hard to find at first then very steep but the view over Wanaka is worth the climb.
