What a great stay! Ross and Penny were amazingly kind and helpful -- even though I only stayed one night it felt like staying with friends! Super comfortable. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Was able to borrow their snorkel gear to try out at the nearby beach. Definitely would recommend to others, and I hope to return again some day in the future!

Immaculate place and friendly hosts. Bountiful breakfast! Positioned just a short walk from the local shops and restaurants. Lovely views and had everything you needed - right down to the smallest need.

There's nothing I didn't like about the accommodation itself although Leigh is very much a one-horse town but if you want some relaxing R&R, have a car and are happy to do a bit of driving around to local places of interest, then this is a great place to stay.

This stay is advertised as a B&B because breakfast is provided and guests share the house with the hosts. However, it is so much more than that. Penny and Ross were delightful and spent most of the time on the top floor so I felt that I had the rest of the house to myself. The breakfast was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. A fresh fruit bowl, homemade toffee, and a carafe of filtered water were all lovely touches in my room, as well as the TV. Everything about the house oozes quality, from the bed linen to the soaps in the bathroom, to the croissants at breakfast. This is a truly fantastic place to stay.

The only slight negative was the bathroom was not an ensuite directly off the bedroom, but since we had the whole downstairs area( bedrooms/ main bathroom and lounge) to ourselves it wasn’t an issue.

The breakfast was the icing on the cake! Sitting on a glorious sunny morning in front of 180 deg views with warm croissants, expresso coffee and cereal and fresh fruit, it was divine! And our hosts Penny and Ross were such warm and friendly people, they had thought of everything!

Everything was perfect.

Beautiful home and garden, Penny and Ross are stunning hosts and really made us feel welcome. Immaculately clean property, little touches like the homemade treats, water and fruit in the bedroom were greatly appreciated. It was raining whilst we were there but they have a deck with great views that would be amazing on a sunny day. Very convenient to local beaches and the Sawmill Cafe.

Ross and Penny are beautiful, thoughtful people and hosts. This bnb is absolutely stunning, super homely, and the local area is simply awesome with lots to do, really. Our lovely hosts were fabulous! Gorgeous little welcoming touches in our room from homemade treats, fruit, water and spring flowers from the garden. We slept well in our comfortable warm bed, I enjoyed the sundrenched lounge, books and Magazines. A lovely spread for breakfast in the morning. This Area is stunning, we took a short walk nearby to see the amazing coastal views. We also visited the Marine reserve a short drive away and took in a beautiful setting sun. Matakana Village with its neat shops and eateries just a handy 15minutes drive away. So much to do even in a 24hr period, we wish we could have stayed a few nights and explored for longer, but 1 night was also just perfect for a short getaway. If you enjoy a homely feel and friendly hosts, you can't go past this lovely accommodation.

Very clean and comfortable place makes you feel at home. The hosts, Penny and Ross are very friendly couple. We loved to explore at their garden too planted some vegetables, some fruits and flowers.

Ross & Penny were fabulous hosts. The room and facilities were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our room was part of the main house but the doors close off for privacy and we had our own bathroom and toilet. We were also able to make use of the rest of the house as needed. There was fresh fruit and toffee fudge in our room on our arrival which was lovely and the continental breakfasts were substantial and delicious. The gardens on the property are beautiful.
