nothing, i really can't think of anything i would complain about, a really great stay. i was in New Zealand for about a month traveling around and i think this was my favorite rental.

Everything! the host greated us on arrival and she was very friendly. The location was gorgeous, knew it was a dark sky reserve but wasn't expecting all that much but we got to see the milky way! the cottage was really comfortable and there were shops nearby for supplies. Honestly am shocked it is such a good value stay and i know the friends i was traveling with are recommending it to people they know as a great getaway location.

The hosts were super friendly and provided us with great recommendations. We loved seeing the stars at night and the area the cottage is located in. Everything exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again!

While Some blinds/curtains have two layers to protect privacy, there are 1-2 in the living room (the entry door and one in the kitchen) are not totally private.

Fantastic views and very quiet. Not too far from the shopping village.

Nothing really. The location is a little remote but in beautiful surroundings and ideally located for the Mount Cook area.

Very clean. Friendly host. Nice quite neighborhood. Convenient location to explore mt cook and lake pukaki. The room with skylight is lovely on a clear night, but it can get quite bright very early in the morning. If you are a light sleeper you might want to consider bringing sleep mask. Overall a great stay!!

The accomodation is well equipped, nicely furnitured and has a patio in a well maintained garden with views on the neighbouring hills. Warmely welcomed by the host I enjoyed the relaxing stay there after hiking in the Area Aoraki Mount Cook, it is far better than staying at Mt. Cook Village.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

How it felt like a home away from home, very clean, hosts were friendly and have gone out of there way to make sure it has everything you need. Makes you not want to leave. Beautiful property in a very quiet serene wee town.

Wonderful location and the cottage had lots of space, clean and light, great facilities, mountain views, parking. Good heating and hot water.

There was nothing not to like about this place.

Our best stay in our NZ south island road trip. Very charming place with modern facilities. Hosts have looked into every little detail. Very clean. Calm neighbourhood with beautiful scenary surrounding.

We loved where it was central to everything we needed. Cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and tidy. Owner was very nice came and greeted us offered his knowledge of the area. Great communication from even before we arrived. Highly recommend staying at Mahina Cottage. We will be back to stay.

What an amazing location - so peaceful and incredible stargazing! Jim was so friendly and accommodating and the cottage was really well equipped. We were sad that we had only booked for one night!
