Bit dingy, remote room from rest of accommodation, on checkout no-one in reception so I waited and waited. Called mobile number as suggested but mobile had been left in reception!! Waited around 25 minutes for someone (hopefully) to turn up - but no-one did, so left a note advising them of issue. Why it doesn't open its restaurant as baffling as they would have a good number of clientele - but I guess they don't need (or want) they hassle.

Room was OK and reasonably sized. Good location for what we needed.

The bed, too soft and too small, very uncomfortable. Staff had no knowledge of the area and what it had to offer. Be nice if the staff had some basic knowledge of the area.

Rooms small and in need of modernisation. Bar and restaurant were not open. Expensive for the standard of accommodation provided.

Fridge was dirty and leaking. Only hot water in the shower, really hot! We got keys to an other room to shower. They really try, but the staff has a hard time. There are new owners and it seems, they need to fix every installation first. Next season they will probably get much better reviews.

In foot distance to Doubtful Sound Excursion. Diner at the Church was very good.

Very much overpriced, and very run down facilities. The room floor was peeled off and was covered by tapes. There were spiderwebs everywhere in the room, and needs better cleaning. Overall great staff and location but the building is very run down and needs better cleaning. With this quality of facility the stay is only worth 150NZD/night.

The view from the room was great. The reception staff was very nice and had us checked in early as our room was ready.

It was a somewhat outdated room but you can expect that after seeing the picture. What made me dislike the stay were the dead flies on the windowsill and a moth that was squeezed dead beetween my bed linen and the bed sheet. Luckily the reception was still open and i got new ones.

It’s old building but clean and it’s Beautiful lake and mountain views / very quiet and peaceful place. I wanted to have a microwave in the room. If someone groups there I think the kitchen it’s going to be to busy.Also better to notice takes 20 minutes to Te Anau .

We were booked into a double room, I was given the keys for our room and directions on how to get to it. The room had two single beds. I called reception, and it was quickly sorted. The vacility is a bit tired but it is clean. If you arrive on a Monday, be aware that there is nowhere to eat unless you drive through to Te Anau. We found Manapouri a great spot to stay for our day trips and is way more peaceful than Te Anau, we stayed three nights.

The bed was comfortable, great shower pressure and a great view of the Lake. We stayed three nights and found it a great spot to get to our day trips, Milford Sound, Te Anau, and Doubtful Sound. Te Anau was very busy when we were there. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of Manapouri.

I am in a wheel chair and there is no way someone would have been able to get into the room if they did not bring a ramp which we did. Cleanliness of floor in shower is not good. Toilet was faulty and had not been flushed by previous resident. Sofa had no support. Place has obviously been upgraded ... just needs more cleaning in shower toilet area. People were nice and helpful, just needs a step up with cleaning.

Disability rails were in toilet and shower. Bed and Bedroom was good.
