Peaceful and private. Great outlook, rural and sea views over town combined. Very roomy and good ventilation throughout. Unit well appointed with modern furnishings. Hosts excellent.

There is only a bedside table and light on one side of the bed. No wardrobe or chest of drawers – we were only there for 2 nights so didn’t really mind but the lack might be annoying for a longer stay

The cottage has lovely views out over Whangamata. The bed is very comfortable and the shower, which is huge, is excellent. The kitchenette is well equipped. Friendly welcome and local information from Tineke and she gave us some feijoas to try. It would take about 40 minutes to walk down into Whangamata but it’s an easy 5-10 minute drive. The location is very peaceful and the cottage is surrounded by trees and shrubs with lots of birdlife. Several times a tui perched right outside the French windows and sang beautifully. It was lovely to sit outside on the deck.

Beautiful, immaculately prepared property. Large patio with panoramic views of city and sea below. Wonderful sunrises to start the day. Tineke was the perfect hostess, warmly welcoming us upon arrival to even sharing crystal glasses later for our afternoon cocktail!

This place was wonderful. The location was perfect, the cottage was adorable and spotless, the view was breathtaking, and the owners were just wonderful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The picture I included was the sunrise view from the cottage.

Absolutely amazing location. Great views over the township. Amazing hosts very friendly and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend the stay and location. Very quiet, private and comfortable. They made sure we had everything we needed and accommodated some small requests prior to arriving.... 10/10. We intend to return again!

Very friendly hosts, incredible views from The Cottage, very clean, really comfortable and had everything you could possibly need for a few days away. Feels like you’re staying rurally, yet it’s less than 5 mins away from the Whangamata township. Highly recommended and we’ll be back again

just the period of my stay - it was way too short

I came alone to enjoy my me-time and didn't except much as I just wanted to relax. But what I got really exceeded my expectations. Tineke and Ian are lovely hosts. Their place is more that neat, the bed is super comfy. The view from the deck is spectacular and also a short walk uphill for almost 360C view. In addition, the weather was sunny and I couldn't help staying on the beach more than I planned.

The property has amazing views, is tastefully decorated, super clean with everything you need. The owners were very easy to communicate with and super friendly. We loved our stay and wish we could of stayed longer. I would highly recommend this property.
