Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe only issue we had was with the lower level shower, may require a fix. In terms of the apartments ammenities the heated pool water wasn’t actually warm. DVD player is not working so a smart tv probably would be a good upgrade.
Well located and comfy. All gear for cooking. Rooms are well aired and comfortable.

New ZealandElectric power point not working. Wifi does not work on second floor where ensuite bedroom is. DVD not working. Gas bottles for BBQ empty. Free standing fan fell into two pieces. Dishes were found, put away wet into the drawer. Kitchen cupboards were untidy. Bachcare were unable to follow through with promise of a portacot. Fortunately we found one in the basement! Advertising failed to identify two lots of stairs so no good for elderly or small children. This was not what one expects for over NZ$ 600 per night!
Close Location to town but on a busy road with single glazing-very noisy. Well appointed over 3 levels so lots of stairs. Swimming pool is very close. Security is good.

New ZealandFew small maintenence 8ssue. Opened lounge window, handle came off in my hand ( I left on bench) Door handle in 2nd floor bathroom/bedroom was coming off, and chair in lounge seemed a bit wobbly. Just small maintenance issues easily fixed . Overall nice accomodation would book again.
Lots of space, good size bedroom, plenty of bathrooms, nice views from lounge on 2nd floor, private parking in garage, close to town.

New ZealandThe 4th bedroom at the back of a garage had no ventilation and smelt musty and damp from a large water leak on the carpet that was still wet. They knew this was wet and expected us to sleep in a damp musty environment. The apartment is right beside a busy road and was very noisy.

New ZealandFor what we paid, which was a heck of a lot, this was awful. Bed was not made up, no bath mats, hand towels. Managed to find ill fitting linen late on first night as we're turning in. Rang Bachcare customer service next morning, which should be called Bachdon'tCare as had to make a follow up call from no response! Have made a formal complaint, still waiting on any sort of reply! Very poor service, won't be going there again. Also not suitable for children or seniors as there is 2 flights of very steep stairs between levels.
