Could do with a couple of towel hooks near shower to avoid dripping on floor to reach them. Everything else great

Great location - set slightly outside of town but with wonderful countryside views. Good cycle / walk path by motel. Nice seating area out back of room. Bathroom new and amazing with lots of space and great places for wash bags etc. Good kitchen area and everything one could need. Clean and cosy room for the 3 of us. Easy to access township and great eatery - Betsy Jane as well as Lake Matheson and glacier lookout point.

There were only a wall heater in one room and a convection heater in another room, not sufficient for heating up a big space (but staff gave us another heater when asked)

Exceptional space and equipment given what we paid for- nice bed and all have electric blanket which is great for cold weather, the kitchen has everything that we need to make dinner, huge bathroom and obviously great location, staff was super friendly and helpful

The lounge was a bit uncomfortable as you could feel the springs.

The accommodation was clean, very comfortable and very spacious - great for a family holiday. The view from the hotel was fantastic.

A range hood in the kitchen area would be good. In all fairness we only had one motel out of 20 in the last 3 weeks that had that installed. We’d recommend this place to anyone who appreciates views of Mnt Cook.

We liked the spacious room and quiet location. It was easy to drive to Lake Matheson. The staff helped us book the scenic flight over the glaciers. From outside we had a great view of Mt cook and Mt Tasman.

The room furnishings were quite basic, and the bathroom and kitchen were not as well equipped as in the other places we stayed in at the same or lower price.

I'm very grateful and appreciative of the lovely reception lady, whose name is Renata. I left my headphones in the bed and realised it only the next day, when we were hundreds of miles away. I wrote to the motel and got a response immediately. The lady promised to send the headphones back to my UK address! I was very happy as the headphones were a gift from my brother. I offered to pay for the delivery, but when I got it, it turned out the postage had already been made. I was really amazed at the great service! We also loved the location of the motel, and the views were magnificent.

Decoration!!

When we first walked in, we thought it looked miserable. Brown curtains, brown bedspread but despite this it was comfortable, quiet and clean. The receptionist was very, very helpful. We had two rooms with kitchenette so plenty of room. Chairs outside to sit and look up at the mountains. A drive away from the nearest restaurant and shops (unless you really like a good walk after dinner). It's a typical New Zealand motel. Washing and drying machines on site. No stairs to climb.

Unfortunately, we never saw Mount Cook due to cloudy and wet weather. So in that sense the motel did not live up to oiur expectations. Our aprtment looked onto the road, not Mount Cook. The Motel is quite a long way out of the village- too far to walk.

Room would possibly be a little small for four if you were staying for multiple days - but was great for an overnight stop. Laundry was located next to our rooms and was quite noisy when in use.

The rooms were set well back off the road, giving a nice quiet night. The view from the unit windows of Mt Cook and the glacier are beautiful. Great location to go to Lake Matheson. Also liked the visit from the friendly neighbourhood dog.

The view, both from motel and the surrounding viewing areas - make sure you visit Lake Matheson and the Scenic Glacier Viewing area further down the road from the motel. Motel has everything required for overnight, and self catering.
