i missed a window in the room (i don't know why i expected one because it is not on the photos, my mistake).. mattress was softer,, and doing everything online on their website was for me quite annoying and not necessary, because than i needed to talk to receptionist anyway 🤷‍♀️

nice interior design,, comfy lounge.. in the city center!! everything was really clean

-Some people talking loudly in the corridor at 5am, who seemed to be staff. -The raw decor style not my favourite; it feels cold and sort of cheap.

-It was a brief stay, but it really felt like a safe and friendly ambient. -Great location, with the bus station 3 minutes away. -Very clean room, showers and toilets.

some sink doesn't work, shower curtain smells a little bit. would be good to ask if customers prefers bunk in top or just the lower level. like for me, im already 40 and find it hard to climb so would prefer to stay at the bottom bunk

location is good, also the aesthetics decor makes it not look like a backpacker. i love the nearby bar where you can sip a drink and just hang out

No parking available, I had to pay for parking across the street or move the car early trying to find a free parking 20min distance, kitchen was small and crowded, hard to find the right time for cooking.

I was in the dorm on floor 1, on Friday and Saturday nights you could hear/feel the noise from miss Lucy’s. Just beware.

The private rooms do not have windows at all, which can make you feel a little cloistered.

Great spot and really well built hostel. It is new and all the facilities were nice and well planned for many guests at a time. The staff was not present (at all) but nothing that bothered, as the check in and out was all automatic. Got some breakfast from Genius, at the coffee shop they have on the side, which was a great plus for the experience!

Lylo is one of the best hostels in Auckland! Pods give you privacy and the beds are really comfy. Not the most social hostel, but think this was maybe coz we're going towards winter. They do have bar/restaurant next to the hostel, and I really enjoyed the pub quiz haha. Very clean too, which I appreciate a lot! Will stay here again if coming to Auckland.

There was from the floor above for several nights. I don't know exactly what it was, but it sounded like people walking around.

Beds creaked when first sat down onto. Can get a bit hot in the pod if you shut the pod door, even with the fan on.

Great individual pods with a sliding door for privacy. Large lockers for each pod to keep your stuff secure. Great location for city centre activities and being picked up for tours.

Ordered the burger and pint deal for thr Monday special, was charged individually for them though. So an oversight on the staff member showing poor training Also, the pod assigned to me was already occupied so grabbed another one, but had an unsettling ache that I had taken someone else's

Great location, far enough away but silll close to town. The pods are nice, a little stuffy in a way that the fans don't quite deal with adequately for the noise they make. Great wifi.and lots of space to work away if you don't want to hang out in your pod
