How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No mirrors in the rooms. No windows only a door in front room.

The group felt the cleaning let the house down.! Dangerous !!Twin bedroom lamp was faulty at the plug end, over bent cause of the bed! Showers tiles needed a really good good clean they were a bit skungy, pink stuff.. we had.. Only few face cloths for some of our guests ....NO tea towels to dry the dishes. No bottle opener ( a must)
We loved the Location it was brilliant. House size is perfect for a ladies weekend. Everything was so great except the cleanliness.

Property had two good size bathrooms but none of the bathrooms had a lock. Rubbish bins were full. Wish they had washer and dryer combo .
Nice comfortable and spacious house. Lovely paintings and the kids room was pretty.

The parking, the host didn’t allow us to park in the off street. But our neighbours in front of us parked their cars in front of the veranda. It hard to park specially we have two cars. I hope your neighbour have a little bit consideration to others.
I like the space not too big. Its good for family to see each other.

It is a little way out of central Queenstown - you would need a car for this location
A good size house, great to be able to use the laundry. Very clean in a friednly neighbourhood.

The people living in a house close by, were very noisy all night (till around 4 am on 25/12). This was probably a one off as we were staying over the Christmas period. We did not have any other issues
It was a lovely suburb, around 10 minutes away from central Queenstown. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with fans/heaters. It was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the place.

The distance from Queenstown wasn't the most convenient; however, we knew that getting into it. The door to one room is odd in that it locks from the outside. Besides that, I think the only thing that stood out to me was the towel was small.
This was a nice stay. The host was super helpful. I forgot something at the house and he was super helpful in finding it and getting it back to me. This was a comfortable accommodation. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, the small fridge was very loud at night when it was going through its cooling phase. It was also very easy to hear other people in the building, walls very thin and could hear taps on etc
Great shower!!!! That was the best part for sure, whole bathroom was nice too. Very warm which was nice and the heater provided did a good job at making the room a great temperature Getting into the building was super easy

Hot water ran out after the third person had a shower. And the heat pump wasnt really hot enough. The bed blankets were quite thin and didnt really keep us warm
Place was very clean and supplied us with everything that we needed. The Tv had a chrome cast which was very nice and the owner was very good at communicating and helped us leave our bags before check in.

TV was confusing to control and the other guests were quite loud.

Honestly not much to say here. If I had to comment it would be the cloth under the tv and coffee station is quite stained and the shower floor needs a blast with bleech as it’s getting a bit pink in the grout but those are totally minor things.
I had the best sleep that night. Bed is soft but I love soft beds. Perfect instructions to get keys. Great value for money. Perfect if you need a place to sleep if you have busy days. We didn’t even have time to watch tv, use microwave or fridge or coffee tea. We just slept. Really great option.
