Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaThe parking lot is quite narrow and hard for big vehicles to pass.
Located on Lake Pukaki, within a 10-minutes drive from town center, the Oaks offer a convenient and comfortable recommodation for our 3 days stay in Queenstown. The rooms are clean, facilities are convenient, price is reasonable. Definitely would recommend to my friends.

AustraliaThe renovations mean that there is limited parking. If you miss out on an allocation for one or more nights if your stay, currently have to park offsite, across a busy road. Slightly challenging! But it was the best option given the circumstances. Renovations due to finish in 2025 some time. The only issue though that we encountered.
The view in the promo pics of the room was the reason I booked this property. They exceeded my expectations. The apartment was spacious, well appointed and we even had a hot tub on our balcony. I was really nervous after reading a handful of reviews that were negative due to parking and renovations occurring, but the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything well. And we were certainly not bothered by noise at any time. The property is about 2km from the centre of town, but there is a shuttle bus that runs at various times of the morning and evening and this was helpful. Highly recommend this property if you want to spoil yourself a little after a long day of exploring and adventure

New ZealandThe property is undergoing recladding and I arrived early so had to wait in a portacom hut until the room was ready. No-one really paid me any attention to see if I was ok. Also the restaurant is closed so I could not get any food. There is limited parking and others kept taking our allocated park.
Fantastic view, I could sit and watch it all day

ThailandThe property was in renovation so getting in there and reception area was bit inconvenient. Also the parking area was small, specially going down to the lower level was narrow. The approach of the hotel can be improved.
It was a spacious property with great kitchen and other amenities. The most beautiful part was the panoramic window in the living room that displayed a view of the beautiful lake and the mountain ranges.

AustraliaAs the resort is going through a major renovation, the current street appeal is poor (which is of no consequence once you are in your room), Reception set up is temporary and doesn't provide enough space for the foot traffic it receives at the moment. Parking is very limited at the moment and can be tight but in saying that we got a car park every time we needed one. TV's offer built in chrome cast which is a good feature although it is very pesty to operate & connect to.
The room was as pictured.... Just Beautiful! Great location to the lake with uninterrupted views offering privacy and very quiet with no noise heard from the street level at all. The internal Gas Heater was wonderful as well keeping our two bedroom apartment very comfortable.

AustraliaNothing.
Our apartment was in a great position in the complex. Bed was very comfortable. There was a beautiful 2 km path around the lake into Queenstown village. The resort also had organised a shuttle in / out of town . Excellent service. The staff at reception were universally very knowledgeable and delightful to deal with. We shall return.

New ZealandUnder-building car park was too compact to park within. Lack of variety in terms of hot drink options (No hot chocolate or snacks)
Large spacious room with access to the lake front. Easy access via the side doors which eliminated the need to go through reception. There was some Easter eggs dropped off from the hotel on Easter Sunday which was thoughtful.

IndiaThe only thing that I would have asked more is a dishwasher to clean the plates or cups. When we visited the construction was going on so it would have been great if someone would have helped us with our luggage to get to the reception.
It was a very nice stay with great view of the lake and a balcony where you can sit and enjoy mornings. You can walk downstairs and then enjoy the lake on a bench as well. The trail beside the lake was accessible so easily, we ran and hiked the trail every day. The room was clean and had good comfort level. Heater also worked well and gave us a good sleep. Bus stop is nearby so it is easy to commute anywhere. They also provide shuttle to the city for free. I would rather use the trail beside the lake to go to the city, but it's good to have those option.

AustraliaReception location is not comfortable, we assumed it was for the remodeling of the building but we were not informed is this either. The place is good but the staff is lacking the ability to connect with costumers and offer that warm welcome that you expect in a hotel of that kind.
Good location, close to the city and easy access to public transport.

AustraliaProbably need more shuttle buses. It's tough missing out on a spot when its an advertised service, or when it doesn't travel between after 11.30 or until 4pm.
Views were amazing. Staff were excellent and always helpful. Excellent having 24 hour reception for when you wanted to ask questions when you arrived home late at night. The apartment was stunning. I loved the gas fireplace and the decor - really pleasant to stay in.

CanadaThe room service can be improved
The room was fairly newly renovated, so it is decent. But they don’t clean the room during our stay. They do provide additional towels and stuff if you request but absolutely no cleaning at all. Not happy about it. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, namely Stella, Avery and Larissa. And the shuttle bus driver Ian was very punctual and helpful in providing directions.
