We arrived on the day of a festival being held at the property which made access to the kitchen to prepare drinks challenging, However, the people we spoke to were very friendly.

Parking is a bit tricky but not to much issue as could easily find parking on the left side a bit up the street.

The hostess was amazing and very friendly, she even invited us to her Daughters birthday. Breakfast was nice and the room was wonderful. Place looks like a nice zen meditation retreat.

One morning, we woke up at 5:30 am to the sound of one guest chanting pretty loudly early in the morning. Another morning, we woke up to the sound of guests leaving the house at 5:30 am. The walls in the main building where our room was are pretty thin and not soundproof, which is not ideal for light sleepers.

Kaari is a super nice and very accommodating host. Her house is giving zen vibes all around. The lake view from the deck is amazing. Her place is perfect for solo travelers or for anyone interested in getting to know other travelers. There are events in Kaari's house sometimes which guests can join in. Additionally, there are some people hanging out in the living room to chat or play the piano most evenings.

Absolutely nothing

Ora retreat is so beautifully located that the view of the lake from the deck just takes your breath away. On top of it, the homely and positive vibes that you get on interaction with the host, Kaari makes your stay memorable. It has all the amenities that one would want for a comfortable stay. The property is not exactly in the middle of the city which makes it a peaceful retreat and yet it is at a walking distance to the city centre. Kaari made us feel so much at home that we extended our stay by a day and had some wonderful conversations with her and her lovely guests. I would definitely recommend this retreat if you really want to enjoy Queenstown.

Ora Retreat overlooks the lake and mountains. We are lucky to have a room facing this fantastic views. The view from living and kitchen are fantastic as well. Highly recommended to come here. Plus the owner is super friendly.

Owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, even gave us a lift to town when we arrived late. The whole place was cosy and we felt at home as soon as we got there. The room was great, bed very comfy and the heated blanket helped a lot in the cold evenings. The view from the main area and kitchen is unreal!!

Ora retreat was situated on a hill with magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu. It was so relaxing to sit and watch the birds in the beautiful garden and to look out to the mountains and lake. The bed was very comfortable and the use of the kitchen and huge lounge was wonderful.

Kaari picked me up from airport, introduced me to swimming in the lake, laughing yoga, tremor yoga and listening to a piano player under the stars. The moment I saw the view from the deck, all my stresses melted away. Her kitchen had plenty of food options for breakfast. I've met the other guests around the kitchen table. Everyone was very nice. Kaari is an amazing human being and an exceptional host. I think my stay at her place would be the highlights of this year.

The owner is lovely, we enjoyed our stay at Ora Retreat. The view from our room and terrace was amazing. Location was a bit away from the city centre but there is a bus stop 50m away and it was really convenient.

Kareema was our host and super friendly and helpful with information. additional she offered early morning yoga and shaking. and there are two cute tiny dogs to cuddle :)

This lovely retreat was so amazing. The staff where so helpful (even driving us to and from our concert as we missed out on bus tickets and the taxi were going to charge the earth) The room we had was so beautiful and the bed extremely comfortable. I will be staying here again next time we are in Queenstown. The views from the retreat were fabulous. The location was great and just down the road from a bus station so super easy to get to town and the airport.

It wasn’t as walkable to town but not a big deal.

Beautiful view, peaceful and spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and awesome deck. Feels more like a home.

It was a bit hard to find the property, as there was no sign at the property entrance. I would suggest adding a sign with accommodation name to the main entrance.

The owner went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and make me feel welcomed, and their kindness and hospitality made my stay ruly unforgettable. The property itself was nothing short of magnificent, with a stunning view of the lake that took my breath away. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-appointed, offering all the amenities I needed to relax and feel at home. I was thoroughly impressed by the level of attention to detail and care that was taken to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. I can confidently say that this is one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed at and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Queenstown. I am already looking forward to my next visit!
