Water was Luke warm when running the bath and didn’t get to have breakfast before we left as it ended at 9:30 , no instructions to use spa pool tried to use it and was cold , didn’t see a bbq area to cook .

Beds are super comfy , very quiet and private . Lovely front desk guy

Shower had a good force but was only Luke warm. I had emailed and asked for a room with 2 beds and received confirmation this would be taken care of only to find on arrival that they hadn’t done this and the room only had 1 bed. This was sorted after talking to the manager.

The hot water in the shower was just warm not hot. Roller blinds had gaps on the sides & middle so it let a lot of light in from the outside security light.

We had booked a premier room, which came with 2 x queen beds so it was nice to stretch out and get a good night's sleep. Beds were very comfortable. We called to say we weren't going to arrive till after 9pm, I think it was Ricky that answered my call and he was really friendly and helpful with my late arrival.

I was expecting additional items in the room. There was tea and coffee provided and small carton of milk, along with 3 mugs and teaspoons. I would have liked perhaps a toaster and dessert plates so i could make a simple breakfast.

The t.v. wasn't working (but I understand that this was due to a hotel wide power outage.) The shower was a bit temperamental, going hot and cold throughout. (We're fine with this if the reason is for water preservation.) Also, there was no plates or cutlery in the room. These are the reasons for the 7 rating, but otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. They were also very helpful when we came to them with queries. The beds were very comfy and we enjoyed the room! The location was great, 5min walking distance from town and the beach. We went in winter, but we can imagine this place is awesome in the summer. This place has great personality and very chill and local vibes.

Perfect spot for what we were wanting to see/do while in the area. The guy who checked us in (didn't get his name) was absolutely lovely and the guy who checked us out was really happy and upbeat. Glad we chose this place to stay! Would stay here again 100%

The faded and damaged NZ flag flying is disrespectful. Spoke to receptionist 12th May who said a new one coming next week.. Lets hope it has been ordered. No mirror in room, only in bathroom. No plug in bathroom for hairdryer.... made for a difficult dry and style.

One of our rooms Shower curtain smelt bad and the 2 single beds were hard.

The bathroom could do with an upgrade. There was a large service fee on top of the room cost because we elected to ‘pay at property’. Check the small print…it’s there but hard to find.

The tv was not work and would not be working until another 3 days. We were only staying 1 night. Host was very apologetic. After a long day of driving. Realisation it would take time to find alternative accomodation at similar price so late in afternoon. Kept booking. Host did reduce room price by $10. We watched on our own phones. Would have been a much better experience if we could have relaxed and watched a programme together in the evening.

More lighting at night in the stairwell and carpark would be an improvement; it's ok but a person on their own may be apprehensive.

The room was great and really spacious, however my partner thought the bed was a bit too firm. Did not use the pool but would like to on future trips; location is perfect and only a few minutes' walk from restaurants, shops and ferries. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
