There was no one on reception when we left, the other staff tried to help but couldn't, we were only after a copy of the invoice, so it wasn't the end of the world.

Great little hotel right on the edge of Hagley Park and just a short walk from the city centre and the large Riccarton Shopping District. The hotel offers a well equipped room at quite a decent rate. The manager was very friendly and helpful as we arrived a bit early after an international flight. Room was spacious, bed was comfy and bathroom modern with everything nice and clean. Location is great too if you don't mind a short walk. If you want to go further bus stops are within a couple of hundred metres too. Great spot. We'll be back when we come to Christchurch.

It was too noisy - all of the noise of the cars driving past - the boy racers - was very audible in the room. No dishwashing liquid to do the dishes ... had to just use water to clean the mugs.

I thought that the facilities were excellent - great sized room, really comfortable. The desk was great, allowed me to do some work during my stay.

Probably due for an update and some maintenance. There seemed to be a lack of attention to detail by staff/cleaners. There was some staining on the bed linen, the AC didn’t cool the room; felt more like a fan, not enough coffee sachets provided for duration of the stay, an old beer bottle of cigarette butts left on the balcony from past guests I’m assuming, etc. which has been my experience in the past also when staying here for work. Overall they could improve the standards with a little care, upkeep, and attention to detail.

Handy location that’s close to lots of restaurants, shops, and the park. Also quiet despite how close it is to the road.

This time it was like there where renovations happening on room 208 next door. Banging and crashing. Along with door knocking to replace blankets that where seemingly ok. It was a bit odd. Every other time has been great.

The staff don't help much or have a 24-hour phone service, and they don't seem friendly too. Parking also a problem because they don't mention parking to you. And you are at risk of getting towed and also a car getting broken into. And when they say F and G . G parking lot looks abandoned or broken down , also there was a car that blocked that entrance. And very strict place.
