Not a huge amount of privacy if the next door is also booked. If someone walks by the windows they will see into your whole room and bed area. Luckily no one got a scare this time! To get to the place is difficult without a car. The bus drops you off on the main road outside which is wonderful but you have to walk up a steep and narrow road to the place which does not have a pedestrian part for some reason. This isn't the properties fault but it's a tough climb after a hike. The check in time is wrong on booking.com. we arrived at 1pm and waited for a while, eventually phoning and finding out check in is actually 3pm. Luckily our room was ready which is nice!

Quirky vibe with stunning view and comfortable little luxuries. The spa bath was wonderful after our long hikes. The TV was set up with Netflix and other things so we were able to watch a movie from bed on a big screen. Plenty of space with a gorgeous view of the lake. And a piano in the room just for fun!

No air conditioning was available and this place will be better for people with cars as there were no pavement or other areas for me to go up the hills then roads where cars go around.

Really liked the view and that the bus stop was just down the hills.

location is excellent, situated 35-40 mins walk to Queenstown via the scenic lake path. Amazing views of the lake and mountains. very quiet location at the end of road no passing traffic.

A little outdated. Random decor. The room was cold and the heater didn't work, and there was a small plug in heater that didn't heat up the room well

cleanliness can be improved - there r some dusty corners need pest control - we left the window open before dinner, when we came back, there are more than 20 flies/mosquitoes in the washroom!

Nothing. Maybe ensure that the sofa pillowcases are changed constantly and no coffee in the room. Although we brought our own coffee, it’d be nice to those who didn’t bring any.

The ambience of the room and the entire lodge is Victorian and beautiful inside and out!

There wasnt any milk for our morning cuppa and the room on booking.com said 2 double beds when their was only one...but we didnt mind too much.

The fold out couch was big but the mattress may need to be changed as you can feel and see all of the springs through the cloth. That was the only thing i didnt like. Everything else was great.

The property was without water for over 12 hours. This was outside of the owners control and they did provide bottled water very quickly once we called them. They could have kept us better informed about progress on the return of the supply. The property is more than walking distance from the town so you will have to drive and pay the exorbitant parking fees, Access to the property is via a very steep road with two hairping bends. There are then quite a few steps to the room as well.9

The view from the apartment was amazing. It is very spacious. It is quite an unexpected find and very hard to define or describe.9
