Away from the town but still close enough without a long drive

Privacy and solitude. Restaurant on site is a bonus when the weather is poor. Delightful staff, efficient and discreet.

The water from shower in our bathroom was not contained in the shower and the water went everywhere. I also felt the cottage could have been cleaner.

We were upgraded to a lake view cottage (we'd booked the wine maker's cottage). The cottage was large with a lovely seating area, a very well equipped kitchenette and a bedroom with a window seat. The open fire (gas) made the room feel really cosy. In fact, the cottage was very well equipped and only lacking bath robes which we learnt are available on request. Breakfast was great offering a good choice. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. We made use of the shuttle bus to visit the Luna Winery (a sister property) for a very enjoyable wine tasting and lunch. A really quiet comfortable stay with wineries in walking distance. I wish we could have stayed longer

Very comfortable and spacious room with excellent services. Very clean and tidy and quiet room with privacy. Restaurant was very good and the breakfast included was excellent and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and professional and helpful. Having a shuttle van service available for transport into the town centre was appreciated given location of Parehua Resort.

Some touching up needed with paintwork in the Secluded Cottage - takes the grading to Good but not excellent.

Location, seclusion, facilities all as promoted. Good breakfast selection etc in restaurant. Would return to enjoy again.

There is quite a bit of maintainence that needs sorting out, lots of dings in the walls, peeling paint and mould in the shower. The windowsill of our aparment was rotten. We did need to work whilst we were there and the guest WiFI is terrible, we had to use the staff WiFi - this needs fixing immediately. Its just not good enough to provide a sub standard system for guests when the staff system is fine. The new owners are slowly replacing the furniture in the units and shared spaces and have done a great job of tidying up some areas (the pool is so much better!) but the "Dubai bling" furniture items they are bringing in are not wearing well, they are looking tatty after a very short time and look out of place in the cottagey/ country club setting.

Great sized rooms, comfy bed, lovely staff, good tennis court and walking distance to the village. Grounds are always beautiful. It was our 3rd or 4th stay, we do very much enjoy staying here.

    Honestly there was nothing

Everything went exceptionally well. We have stayed at a lot of places and this one would be right up there for value for money. Really loved our stay. Will be back if we come back to the north Island.

Very poor wi-fi. In fact NO wi-fi for most of the stay. Charged 2% for using credit card. Visitors should not be paying owners banking fees. I would have given the resort 10/10 had there been decent wi-fi and no charge for using credit card.

Staff were all charming. Perect spot to stay for wine-tasting in the region. Good variety of food for breakfast.
