Everything! Unique in so many ways. It’s 6 years old, but looks brand-new. Staff is so very friendly, knowledgable about local activities and attractions, and fun. Breakfast was very nice. Room was smallish, but super clean and well-organized. Very nice Kleenex. Unusual for hotels. Many special touches all around the property. Excellent.

Great location, room was so lovely and spacious and each room is super quirky and has lots of history in them! Loved it! Only 10-15 min walk into town and half an hour to the penguins, would definitely recommend

Downside of the central location - was a noisy location at times; street traffic and supermarket behind hotel.

Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, etc) was of poorer quality than those offered in other similarly priced hotels and not generous enough for two persons to use.

Very characterful decor, bordering on an entertaining museum experience with all the antiques and artifacts. Location was excellent, as was access to free parking. Room was spacious yet comfortable. Staff were warm and very helpful.

Fantastic set up with quirky steam punk interior design - very professional finish. Comfortable bed. Great continental breakfast selection offered in a great setting. In the middle of town so easy access to shops or sites. Lovely staff.

We didn't know where to park at first, an automated message and/or a pre-arrival pdf guide would help. The accommodation may shock you a bit with its still, and it may not feel like a hotel per se, but it was absolutely fine and very comfortable.

It provided a unique and artistic style which I had never experienced before! The bedding and room was very clean and well-kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevator, albeit slow, was interesting. After you dropped your bags, the short stairwell out onto the street remedied this. Also useful for getting back to your room quickly in the evening.

Would have liked a cooked breakfast, but understand this is more guest house accommodation. The continental offerings were very nice, and breakfast staff helpful and friendly

Amazing experience from check-in to check-out. Hosts were great, room was well appointed and quirky in Oamaru Steampunk/rural stylings. Great sleep considering we were on the main road, earplugs provided but were not needed.
