Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

India1. Heating and lighting of the rooms was not great . Just good enough . 3.Slippery drive way. We had a one year old with us . It was scary to carry her on the slippery driveway. 4. No milk provided which is very usual at most nz stays . 5.Managed to get access code to the property at last minute after making payment . Host must work on this and come up with a better process . Adds little bit of last minute tension . What if the host won’t pick up the call ? She did miss my calls . 6.Dint know about the damage deposit until I say the amount deducted in my bank account . Could have been communicated proactively .
Clean and loved the views . Not too far from town.

AustraliaCould have better coffee making facilities. Small french press in the kitchen not really enough for large group. The driveway is very steep - beware on first entry. This is mentioned in the property notes but best keep it top of mind as it's the first thing you come across. Or park on the road.
Views are fantastic and true to the photos. Location is convenient to get to from airport without driving through Queenstown Well equipped kitchen and well stocked firewood. The condiments in the pantry we're helpful. Beds very comfortable.

United StatesHost diid not provide key code despite several requests from days before arrival. We arrived and waited outside and called the host several times and did not get a reply. We finally tried all the doors and windows - one was unlocked and we entered the house that way. The host eventually wrote back but did not give key code - we left the house unlocked for several trips out of the house until the host eventually gave the key code. very unresponsive.
