How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The showers were very difficult to operate and the glass wall around the toilet/bathroom was …… well, strange. Charging extra for cappucinos at breakfast was petty.
Very friendly and efficient staff (especially Lucretia). The afternoon cocktail hour was very pleasant.

Not much space for bags and no wardrobes for clothes, had to leave bags in the living room. shower without glass door

There was nothing about the hotel that I didn’t like.
A true boutique hotel 5 minute walk from city center. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Cam at the front desk. Breakfast was excellent and high quality. I had eggs Benedict with smoked salmon 3 times. Evening happy hour was great with a few decent wines and beers.

The street noise from the rooms facing the street was unpleasant.
Breakfast was fantastic, made to order, and absolutely delicious. Coffee was also some of the best we had in New Zealand.

Freshly cooked breakfast options as well as cereals and pastries. All very good. Enjoyed breakfast. Staff were always helpful, happy, attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was excellent every day and the rooms always very clean. Enjoyed the boutique style vibe as well as chatting to other guests at the drinks and canapés 6-7pm every evening. Overall we loved our choice of accommodation. Smaller and more personalised.

Hotel is located to the sidewalk and road so it was loud at night with drunken people and noise from cars if your rooms with gondola view. Also, one of blinds are broken..

quite expensive and my room had electrical problems and would have not power when the there was a trip of the circuit breaker. very frustrating as it happened several times and I could not charge my phone.
very nice staff. loved the happy hour each late afternoon to meet fellow travelers. delicious breakfast.

Car park doesn't have a space for every room in the hotel and there is no elevator to the second floor where some of the rooms are located.
Location, style and the facilities in the room were amazing. Breakfast tasted great.

With so much accomm choices in Queenstown I settled on QPBH and so very pleased I did. Service was on-point for our 3-night stay. Nothing was too much trouble including assistance with hiring e-bikes and parking of our vehicle. Being greeted by your first name at breakfast blew me away and all staff were exceptional. The bathroom was next level with a glass ceiling and a novelty to watch the paragliders whilst showering! Thanks QPBH

The water in the shower wasn't very hot, we really struggled to get a hot shower. Also, the room was really clean but the balcony seemed forgotten. There were quite a few cobwebs and dust on the outdoor furniture but we didn't really use the balcony anyway so it wasn't a big deal.
A really lovely little hotel, in a super convenient location. The bed was really comfortable and the decor was beautiful.

QT park Boutique hotel is more than perfect!!! All staffs are very nice and friendly. The room was absolutely stunning. The location is so close to every place. Breakfast is so delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. Believe me, You will love this hotel. It is the best hotel that I’ve ever stayed in New Zealand. I love it.
