How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The double bed needs replacing as the mattress was very springy. Every time one in the bed moved the other one felt it.
The Unit was lovely and clean. Motels situated in a convenient spot to eateries and easy to find

Can be a wee bit noisy at night with trucks going past but not the motels doing.
Room had everything we needed for a comfy stay. More on the older side but clean, tidy and warm! Shower was amazing ! Location is right in town with food joints right next door which was handy. No on site manager but super easy to self check in and they're only a text or call away. Very happy with our stay.

The outside of the building is very tired and dated, but I am guessing this will be updated with the refurb. A little road noise.
This was a very comfy room. The Manager was not available on site, however was available by phone. Check in was good with clear instructions. The management are refurbing the rooms, and ours was 95% done and was very good, clean and comfy. Kitchen area was good.

Needs new pipes in bathroom. And needs new mattresses on beds. Also, the place would be better with new carpets.

couldnt get onto wifi
on a main highway it was surprisingly quiet of road noise , looks are deceiving, from the outside it looks battered and bruised, but they are in process of rennovation , open the doors and what a contrast , clean, fresh almost new looking

Shower had a bit of mildew. Shower and toilet a little bit outdated. That being said, motel is in the process of being renovated, so these are likely to be remedied in the future.
Very close to service station and takeaway shops. Excellent communication from motel owner.

The rooms were undergoing a makeover but they were comfortable and a welcome relief from a hard days riding.
Location was excellent with the pub just over the road and the access to the rooms was by a code lock on the front wall. A good idea so there's no mucking around and the code is text to you.

A little noise from trucks because of the location, didn’t affect sleep just noticed. No can opener or extractor fan in kitchen. Weren’t advised ahead that renovations were in progress or if this was taken into consideration in the nightly rate
Autonomous access with key lock box. Very clean despite older age. Nicely made beds. Some toiletries provided and a small bottle of milk. Although very exposed location property was safe

Couldn't get TV to - then I realised that the remote did switch on TV - TV was switched on the bottom right hand corner - silly me.

There was a problem with the hot water not working in the evening and was unable to have the issue resolved until next morning.
Beds were comfortable and room was warm. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
