En suite bathroom urgently in need of attention. Black with mould, paint peeling, shower, door frame and skirting all rotten.

Food & drink in pub excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Lovely to have fresh towels every day.

I didn't know beforehand that I had to share toilet and bathroom; finally not a problem. Room needs some maintenance, especially the window.

Location very close to main attractions in Wellington. Price low.

A little outdated, but functional. Window could not stay open in our room (broken latch).

Had everything you need. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant had a great (vegetarian) burger! Quiet location, close to botanical garden and city center.

Room in need of a fair bit of tlc, curtains were hanging off in places, lots of traffic noise until quite late and then early in the morning.

Good sized room in a great position for the early morning ferry. Food was good.

The hotel looks very old & shabby with squeaking floors and doors. Our daughter liked it a lot as it is a bit like a haunted place.

For the night stay it was a decent choice and we needed a place to sleep and easily travel the next day. The bed in our room was comfortable enough. The pictures on the walls were quite amusing. Also the location was nice with small shops around and the big park nearby. Parking was supereasy too. Also the communication with the management of the hotel was easy and even though we came very late we could easily find everything in the full absence of any staff.

Some of the furnishings and fittings in the bathroom were ‘tired’ and definitely in need of cleaning/updating.

Ideal location for visiting Botanical and Rose Gardens aswell as the city centre. Parking was good too. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Traffic noise from the very busy arterial street was LOUD. We were even luckier though to have a city crew using a jackhammer outside after midnight. During the daytime we cooled the room by opening windows: old fashioned HEAVY windows which are missing the sash weights. We used wooden coat hangers to prop them open. The entry door handle (room 15) required special technique to operate: push firmly into the door before/during rotating; otherwise door won't open from outside the room. TV was small but adequate. Bedspread was dirty and stained -- we got the staff to re-launder it before use.

Location and staff were excellent. Room size very generous. Food at the pub was great.

Wifi in room desperately poor, often useless. Small wash basin with no surround or place to put your toiletries, etc. 'Wardrobe' space tatty (hanging rail). Small electric fan tricky to place and needed clunky extension lead (no aircon but room had good ventilation via large window)

Comfortable bed Large desk (which many hotels don't always have)

The bathroom was a bit small and the screws on the window came off when I closed it just before departing. Hopefully somebody fixes it.

There was no breakfast available at the inn, but the dinners were excellent as was the service.

    It was all fine!

Great location at the top of town, right next to the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Very relaxed vibe to the place, so able to come and go as we pleased. A little shabby in parts of the building - but our room was clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy and it was exactly what we needed to spend a night in Wellington while passing through. Good value for money.

It's an old pub which needs updating and a lick of paint. like other places in Welly you can hear your neighbors talking and walking past and TV at 3.30am but not much traffic after 8pm. Not the sort of place to stay with kids but would take kids to eat there

Bus stop is 2min $4 to town Pub food is great ate there both nights Staff are helpful and good Bed was comfy good shower. Close to ferry. No traffic after 8pm

Getting a parking breach from the company monitoring the car oark. We had registered our vehicle on the hotel's I pad but this didn't prevent a breech notice. Notice has been cancelled but only after providing evidence of booking and bank statement with payment.

Central location, handy to ferry terminal. Easy for wider Wellington whanau to join us for dinner. Friendly bar and wait staff.

Room 4 fridge needs a clean!

While shabby as expected it was clean where it matters; comfy bed; surprisingly quiet even with window open to road; good price and great location; Sky TV with more than usual channels an unexpected bonus,
