The apartment was light on english breakfast teabags however after a quick text the owner provided a fresh supply c/w chocolate otherwise the accommodation and stay couldn't be faulted.

We deliberately picked the location out of Queenstown as we were travelling to Wanaka for a day & it was close to the airport. We were welcomed by Ann which was really nice. Once in the apartment we found a welcoming note from the owners (so cool) and lovely vegetable soup and crackers waiting for us - so so yummy and well received. The apartment is well set up and the compendium contained a back story of the owners journey which was a nice touch. The apartment is really well furnished - the sofas are really comfy too. The rear deck was so peaceful & it was really neat to see the planes taking off & coming into land.

John and Ann were the best hosts, even having hot soup waiting on our arrival. The apartment was so lovely, and the views out over the Shotover River and the mountains were stunning.

The mattress is a bit soft for our liking, that’s why we didn’t give it a full mark for comfortability. However, that’s just a matter of personal taste.

The view from the property looks serene. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean, homely and have everything we needed. The owner is welcoming and responsive to communications. No problem at all with the check-in and check-out process.

The apartment was clean, fresh and felt like a home rather than a 'place to stay'. When we arrived, there was a pot of vegetable soup warm and ready to eat which was not only thoughtful of John and Ann but also delicious and very much appreciated on a cold Queenstown day. The view from the lounge and second bedroom was stunning, snow caped mountains and a lake. Although we didn't have time to use it, it would have been lovely to have a BBQ on the balcony looking out at the same view. In my previous career, I would travel 9 months out of the year, weekly for 5 years (that's a lot of accommodation places) and never had I felt as comfortable or welcomed as I did by John and Ann at Shotover Ridge Apartment. We will always endeavour to stay there when in Queenstown.

Driving up was a bit daunting as apartment is slap in the middle of a business park.

But once in and upstairs it is a whole new scene, with wonderful views of mountains and the Shotover River, a warm written welcome from our hosts and a cauldron (!) of delicious hot soup to greet us. Ann knows exactly what her guests need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Especially loved the beautiful sharp knives wrapped in a cloth in the kitchen drawer.

The house was warm and homely. Had a beautiful view, we loved the soup on arrival, such a nice touch on a cold day. The shower pressure was awesome.

This is a beautiful place, very nicely furnished with lots of personal touches and an incredible view! The location is perfect, space is clean and comfortable. Communication with the hosts was very easy. They even had the heaters running and soup ready before our arrival. You won’t regret staying here!

Absolutely lovely. There was tasty soup waiting. The place was furnished beautifully, it was comfortable and roomy. Our hosts were attentive, even leaving chocolates one day. Nothing was too much trouble. The view over the river was amazing. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.

The unit is located in a light industrial area. First impression was not so good but once we entered through the door, we were impressed.

The view from the unit is very good. Unobstructed snow capped Cadrona in the center. Coronet peak on the left and Remarkables on the right. The unit is very very tidy and very very clean. Everything is top notch. We even had a pot of hot soup waiting for us on arrival a very welcome surprise on a cold winter day.

The location was awful - driving into a commercial/ industrial area was very unappealing. We walked in the front door, looked at the tall narrow steps and decided it just wasn't worth it - we turned around and left and found someplace else to stay.

Everything was good! I wasn't expecting it to be on an industrial estate but I don't really feel it was a problem.
