How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Parking. No where to park and check in. Once you’ve paid extra for “hotel “ parking you get to park across the street in a very cramped parking garage.
Location worked great for us. We walked to zoo and Te Papa museum. Kitchenette was workable with enough utensils to fix a meal.

The only issue we the stairs at the front of the building to get inside. Those with any mobility problems might find this difficult. We found it difficult with our luggage, and we don't have mobility issues.
The hotel was a great place to land after a long international journey. It was comfortable, clean, well appointed and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our parking spot in a garage across the street was ready to go when we arrived which was so helpful.

The room needs a manual as i didnt know how to work some items like the posh coffee machine. Free netflix be good instead of chromecast.
Very new place in fab location on doorstep of Cuba st.. Large rooms with all amenties. Staff lovely i had my arm in a sling and they helped me with my luggage

Excellent hotel that is very central. Very handy location right by cuba st where all the restaurants & shops are. The room was exceptionally clean, serviced daily, & very comfortable. Great facilities in the room with microwave, & dishwasher. We will definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay, the staff were kind and helpful and it was very clean .they allowed early check in and late check out without extra charge .highly recommended we will be staying there again when we visit Wellington again and it's only a 60 second walk to Cuba st, A big thank you to all the staff who made our stay a very pleasant experience.

Although the apartment was very clean in the kitchen and bathroom areas, there seemed to be a lot of hair on the carpet. I know it was vacuumed regularly so not sure where it came from ??
The apartment was very compact however it had absolutely everything I needed. Very comfortable bed too

It would have been nice to have had a sofa - the dining chairs were a little hard to sit for too long. Bathroom was small and not much towel hanging space.
Exceptionally clean, large rooms. Well equipped kitchen - kettle plus coffee maker - plenty of coffee/tea samples. Beds large an comfortable. Large windows, so great views - blinds and curtains for privacy.

Bathroom was small. No free parking. No where to park up and unpack the car.
Great location. Close to bars and restaurants. Would recommend to family and friends.

Love the location, vibrant part of wellington city right on your doorstep. Nice quiet room with everything g you need. Super comfy bed and great water pressure in the shower. Good value for money. Second time staying here will definitely be back.

The bathroom is quite small but good enough for a solo traveler like me.
Clean and tidy room. The property is pretty much new. I felt like I’m the first one to use the room. Kitchenette and Fridge is functional. I love that I’m able to keep snacks and make simple meals. There is a 24/7 friendly staff in reception I believe.

Everything was wonderful.
Lovely spacious apartment in a great location. Extremely comfortable beds, kitchen with everything we needed and laundry available in the building. We used the paid parking garage across the street from the hotel, which was very convenient. They also had welcome chocolates in our room! Loved the accommodations!
