Although not flashy this was a brilliantly located facility with a great view over the bay from the guest lounge/deck. The room was comfortable and having a well-stocked communal tea and coffee making area and adjacent lounge was excellent. The shared toilets and showers were never a problem, downstairs cafe and bar were convenient and the staff most accommodating. Completely satisfactory for our needs, and good value to boot.

Not a big thing but I would definitely renew the carpet and freshen the rooms up as they did look dated.

The staff was lovely and let me check in earlier. The location was great and I had everything I needed in the room.

Would be nice to have longlife milk or creamer for the tea and coffee provided and a dishcloth. Using a white flannel was awful,but had nothing else to wipe spills with. Also extra stool in the shower room for personal items and clean gear would be helpful

Right in the heart of Oban. Simple and affordable, really clean and bed very comfortable. Not a huge space but totally suited for the outdoor explorer. Can hear the inconsiderate noisey neighbors, so ear plugs if that bothers you. Would certainly stay again and recommend.

Lady at reception did not acknowledge us on arrival ( Older Lady) seemed like she didn’t want to be there. We expected to be able to eat in the dining room and were surprised that even though the dining room was half empty we were told it was fully booked and ate our meals off the bar.

Convenient location, room was very comfortable, lovely showers. Although we usually go for self contained we were quite happy with the shared facilities for the price we paid.

The South African barmaid was extremely rude and condescending. Everyone else was great, but she was not a nice person to experience.

We were in the hotel so had shared facilities and we usually opt for ensuite. There were a number of toilets and showers with good water pressure so it was not a major issue for us and we knew this was the situation when we booked.

We were only able to book 2 nights if we were in different rooms. The first was more basic and the second had a sea view but in both rooms the beds were comfortable and we spent a lot of time in the lounge enjoying the view from there. We were allowed to check in early and could have bags held for us. The wifi was good. The staff were friendly and helpful especially as we were trying to find out about a historic family link to the island. It felt like the centre of island life.

The common area was nice to have, but warmer lighting would have made it nicer!

Great beachfront location a short walk from the ferry wharf. On-site restaurant/bar was very convenient (though noisy in the evening up until closing.) They stored our bags the next morning until we caught the ferry.

The walls were paperthin, I could hear the neighbors breathe. Even worse was the noise from the bar and the hangout next to the hotel, with singing and shouting people.

Perfect location with a beautiful view from the guest lounge. My room was small but smartly equipped. I liked that there was a small sink in the room.
