Only a few minutes away from the main shops and lakefront Taupo makes Spa pool Treat a great location. Being able to book a stay for your dog as well is fantastic and I will definitely do so next time.

It was very noisy. We could hear everything happening in the other part of the house including tv’s, kids running around and everyone going up and down the stairs. The doors between the lounge and the spa area didn’t close properly which meant there was a lot of wind that came in through the gaps. The spa was in poor condition and there was no light out in the area it was situated.

Bed was very comfy and it was nice and clean. Great location. Good that it was dog friendly.

The steps to the door! This is not ground level! Having disabilities means when searching we search for ground level. The steps were frustrating, no anti slip matting, so my walking stick couldn't grip.

The shower was excellent. The place was cleaner than a motel we had stayed in nights previously.

The only minor complaint is the spa pool had issues so it wasn’t as hot as we would of thought.

Spa pool was cleaned for arrival which was great but was still cold for first night. As we were there for rhe Taupo ultra marathon on sat the spa was a big reason for picking the accommodation. Shower head also was faulty and wouldn't stay in position. Both very small things but also pretty key for this trip.

Was given a check out time of 10am. Folder on table with a list of house rules gives check out at 10.30am! Needs amending. Had trouble getting the smart tv to work. A set of instructions would be helpful. Access to the outside spa pool was thorough a door in the main room. The tv aerial cable comes through the doorway which meant the door does not close properly. Had a cold draught coming in all the time in the gaps at the top and bottom of the door which made it hard to warm the place up. These are easy fixes so suggest they be done asap.

Provided own breakfast. Location okay . Very quiet.

This unit is a part of a house, we thought we were getting a hotel. Only one power outlet in the whole unit was working so we had to charge everything in the one spot where the kettle was, Laptops, phones and had to go buy an extension cord to watch tv, host offered to come check it out but thought it would’ve been a waste of time doing it while we were there since we were only staying for 2 nights. “Kitchette” area is inside a closet with a microwave and bar fridge with no proper counter space to make a coffee, only had the bathroom sink to wash dishes in. Guests for the rest of the house came in on our second day and you can literally hear everything, walking, talking, coughing. Bed is so uncomfortable had to sleep on the floor the second night, there is no couch in the lounge, only a single bed with no wall to lean on to watch tv comfortably. Had to pay an extra $30 on top of the already expensive accommodation for our dog which we were not aware of until the day before. Pet friendly but nowhere for dog to go doodoo comfortably as they had their campervan and trailer parked in the back on the grass. Spa water needs to be changed, it smells really bad like the smell of mould. Overall don’t think the price we paid was worth the stay.

The spa was heated all the time and very private. Shower water pressure is amazing.unit smells nice and clean. Free wifi.

our good overall score is a reflection of a nice 1 bedroom unit that needs some attention to customer expectations but there are issues that can quickly be improved cheaply...refer Although easily installed there is no place/bench to prepare snacks or meals except on the fridge (there is a small eating table across the room but is needed to eat off etc .."kitchenette " a bit of a stretch as well as there is no where to do dishes ...a small 600 x 450 plastic basin is provided to do the dishes in the awkward cramped shower room basin little storage for food etc No Sky and a complicated tv remote (should be user friendly but is not) that took an age to find and register a channel for viewing ..We did not see an instruction manual for this system ...= frustrating after a long drive....... although the room warmed as above a constant cold draft came through the Spa room door which cannot be closed as a c TV cable has been purposefully jammed in it to stop it closing Noise from next door was annoying but tenant quitened at midnight ...every whisper of conversation can be heard from next door --some interesting and rather private we thought.. ... ...All things mentioned here can be and should be overcome hopefully before our next stay

No kitchenette as such, just a table located inside a re-purposed wardrobe. But, more importantly, off street parking was advertised, but when I contacted owners to confirm, I was told I could only park on the property after 21:00hrs. Upon arrival, I could not even do this, the owner was washing his vehicle in the driveway, and had their campervan parked on the berm outside the property. The owners did not live at the address, but used it's facilities, including carrying out gardening, campervan parked outside and vehicle washing during our stay. So it did not turn out to be as relaxing as we had planned.

Location was great, excellent café/restaurant(Espresso Cove) a few minutes walk away. The property (building) was very nice, and well kept.

Wrong door code was given but quickly sorted by helpful owner. Spa definitely on the cold side. Which is a shame as it is the sole reason we chose to stay here over a motel. Door to the spa area didn't close properly leaving the room where my daughter was sleeping cold. A kitchen sink would be a great addition to the room.

Fun mother daughter quick trip to Taupo. Easy location in a quiet street. Cute and comfortable. Good shower pressure and temperature.

The spa was very noisy at night right beside the bedroom making it difficult to sleep. The internet was patchy and I think with too many other guests using devices it disconnected some of our devices which had been working OK previously. No milk in the fridge but it was provided the following day after requested. The guests upstairs were quite noisy and the sound of people walking/talking/kids etc comes through the ceiling/floor quite a lot.

Nice quiet location and the spa was a nice bonus although we didn't use it, preferring to swim in the lake. Easy check in with lock box was good since I was running late on check in.

The spa wasn't hot or even warm was pretty much cold and when turned bubbles/jets on blew out freezing cold water. The spa was the main reason for choosing to book and stay here so was a bit disappointing that the spa wasn't working as a spa should. The other downer were the kids running up and down stairs and above us till 1130 and then was woken by same thing at 5am. Been a mum of a 7yr old I know there not much can do about it.

Loved it all in regards to the room. Place is fantastic a great set up and nice and private.
