Alice was a fantastic host, making sure I was well taken care of - her hospitality was tops! The house backed onto the bay, and you could walk through the backyard and straight to the water, which was so picturesque!

Beautiful peaceful place on the water, around the bay from Whangarei. We watched the sun go down as we sat on the back deck in the evening - photo attached. Our host Alice gave us watermelon and found exactly the kind of tea she knew I would like.

Alice is the nicest host we have ever met. She's super friendly and helpful, and she keeps the house and garden in perfect shape. The view from her garden onto the sea is just priceless, and the room was awesome. It was a joy to sit on a deck chair and enjoy the sun.

The house has a beautiful view & the 2 rooms are very comfortable each with pleasant patios & one with ensuite. Alice the owner & host of the house goes out of her way to encourage use of the whole house. She is incredibly kind & generous. She even prepared to cook dinner for a very reasonable fee. I highly commend a stay at Alice's house we enjoyed 2 nights very much.

There was nothing to dislike. This stay was close to airport, and down private lane, good parking, kind host.

Stunning views from expansive lounge, a short walk across the neat back lawn and you step on to the beach flats. Boats and seagulls right in front. Peaceful location. Host Alice very friendly, kind person who makes great effort to ensure comfort. 10/10 for Alice and her cozy home. Highly recommended!

Hostess considerate and kind. Provided a delicious evening meal - simple yet divine. Breakfast of cereals though offered a more substantial fare. Transported us to airport extras at a sound cost. View spectacular and soothing.
