Little further out of Punakaiki than thought so you need to be very organised - sadly no milk was provided which is minor but a little annoying.

Only property in a 5 week trip that didn’t have a welcome pack. Even a tiny bottle of milk and for the coffee canister to have been refilled would have been nice. Unfortunately on leaving the property one of us stood in a pile of dog faeces which was next to our car. Very unpleasant

Everything!!! Joe and Patrick’s emails, prior to our arrival, were exceptionally helpful. Its location is stunningly beautiful. The interior layout was perfect for the three of us. While we didn’t utilize the kitchen or hot tub, it was nice that they were available. We slept well here due to the quiet location and comfortable beds. The bathroom was wonderful, too.

Everything is fine. Love this property. Will stay here in the future if we visit west coast again.

Warm and cozy house, nice design, Patrick & Joe have good taste at furnitures. We actually arrive late and miss the sunset at night, however when we wake up in the morning and open the door, omg worth it! Breathtaking sea view with bird song, also the SPA pool with just perfect water temperature, what a morning!

We stayed here the night after we finished the Paparoa Great Walk. A short 10 minute drive along the coast from Punakaiki. Stunning views and the spa pool was just lovely. Has everything you need -but remember to bring your own food/alcohol as nothing nearby. We ate in Punakaiki and was great. A fantastic stay -thank you so much! We’ll be back for longer than one night next time.

Just loved this place! Wish we could have stayed longer. The view was amazing overlooking the beach. We had two bedrooms that were tastefully decorated and the beds were super comfy. The bathroom was large and modern. The spa was heated and ready for us on arrival. The owners are on the property but you would not know they were there. Make sure you bring food as there isn't any shops close by. The owners had already communicated this so we were prepared.

We loved the location, the concept, design of the Retreat and fine detail in the construction, the vegetation and landscaping. The property had stunning views over the ocean,breaking waves and distance to the sea…quiet, cosy warm, full of light and everything we could possibly need for a few days. And of course the marvellous hot tub. Hosts were an absolutely delightful bonus. Thank you.
