Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandThe overly complicated lighting, heating and blind control system! The room seemed forever dark as we couldn't get the lights in the bathroom to come on and we never did find out how to switch on the coffee machine. The instruction given when arriving was too quick and incomplete. Staff uniforms need to change - can see what the aim was - hip - but staff actually all look scruffy as the uniforms are not tailored.
Chic, clean, smart, close to every thing including eateries. The place to be seen!

New ZealandThe slippers were nice but had no grip and the floor was very smooth and felt great on the feet, however that combination does make it a slip hazard if you aren't careful. The minimalistic design was very nice to look at but also meant you had to take some time to figure out where everything is and what all the buttons do.
Staff were amazing, they took care of us with a late check in and accommodated our requests. The lady at the front desk on the night was very helpful with our questions. Room was spacious and the control panel for the room was very easy to use. The sun blinds for the room work very well.

United StatesThe staff members we interacted with were pleasant, but could have been warmer and more welcoming. I was surprised that we were charged to check in early, especially since it was our honeymoon and other hotels were more generous with amenities to celebrate.
My husband and I loved the hotel, from the architecture of the building to the design of the lobby and rooms. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen. The location was exceptional. It was easy to walk to most attractions.

The photos make the rooms seem darker than they really are, particularly those facing the outside. If you prefer more natural light, select the outside (versus lane) facing rooms. The rooms are a bit small, but very well designed, appointed, easy to use, and luxurious for the price. Location is excellent. The seafood restaurant downstairs, kingi, has a great vibe, food, and drinks, as does cafe hanoi, which is next door, but not affiliated with the hotel. We requested adjoining rooms, and got two at the end of the hall with a central door, so felt like a suite (could put our luggage and other items in the shared vestibule). The staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and polite, including reception, concierge, and housekeeping. Service is excellent.

- Location in the center of the city near to shopping center and bus station. Also, it is a quiet neighborhood. - the receptionist are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to book bus for our trip to Rotoura. Moreover, they gave us recommendations what to do in the city. - the room was interconnected and convenient for 3 people to stay in. - fitness center is really great. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel
