Missing a towel hanger and maybe a shower curtain so that not the whole floor in the bathroom gets wet after showering.

Great location, incredible views, good Wi-Fi connection. Room was super clean and very new and modern. We came in late for check-in which wasn't a problem at all. Little wagons are provided to get your suitcases from the parking lot to the room.

Only a small thing, would have been good to have a bin in the room for rubbish (in addition to the bathroom bin).

We had an fab stay at The Cliffs which exceeded our expectations for a motel. The room itself was more of an upmarket cabin with a lovely finish.The bed was one of the comfiest beds we have stayed in in New Zealand with stunning views over the Bay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the set menu in the cafe. All round excellent value! Thank you again to our hosts for their warm hospitality.

Plan to book in for the dinner there (there is nowhere else) and the breakfast if you’re so inclined. It is not a problem to be ‘a captive audience’ because it is well worth it.

Wild and wonderful location. Just a low row of 8 rooms set in the dunes overlooking the sea a safe distance below. Huge plate glass window at foot of bed to watch ever changing sky, sea and stars. Best bed we’ve had on our trip. Dinner was a great experience - wonderful food and service

This was my second stay at the cliffs, both times it exceeded expectations. Ton and Larissa are amazing hosts, who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The dinner and breakfast on offer is well worth it (Larissa even remembered from the last time I'm not a fan of sliced tomato in my salad!) If you're looking for a comfortable stay before or after the Hump Ridge or South Coast tracks, you won't go wrong staying here.

Had a lovely night at the “Cliffs”, didn’t get to book into the restaurant until late and it was no problem for the couple managing and cooking at the restaurant, the meal was great and lovely food and plenty of it, can really recommend the motel rooms as the view was amazing, well worth the money staying there, great area to look around, particularly the Sea Lions nearby😍

Nothing. We were really impressed with the location, standard of the room, facilities & the food.

The setting is superb. We stayed in one of the motel units; all the rooms have a stunning view out to sea & easy to follow track to the beach. The hosts are super friendly & great to chat to. Dinner & breakfast were delicious & great choices! The Ukrainian dumplings & sour dough bread were brilliant.
