Sadly the restaurant is closed on Sunday night and Monday, no inhouse breakfast option and the bar was closed both nights - easy enough to offer a continental breakfast and honesty bar as many boutique hotels do internationally.

The room, the decor, checking in and the housekeeping was great..

    All fine

Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location, plenty of good cafes, restaurants nearby. On a main bus route to the city. Room was very clean and well serviced. Huge bonus is the excellent restaurant in the hotel - high quality breakfasts, dinner.

Very cool & chic space. Location is a bit more out of the way than I expected to explore Auckland.

The location is a bit out of the way to really explore Auckland by foot. I tool several long walks to explore the city myself, but I didn't realize when booking that this neighborhood is more ideal to stay in with a car. The Queen room also felt a bit smaller in person than it looks in the photos.

I loved the interior design of the hotel and artwork throughout. The space felt cool, hip, yet still comfortable. The staff was helpful and very friendly to welcome me and having Ada just downstairs was delicious for wonderful dinner!

The kettle in the queen room possibly needs a dedicated spot (unless I missed it) but that’s all I can fault.

Beautiful decor - cool and quirky. Excellent beds. Lovely, helpful, friendly staff.

Absolutely stunning place that embraced its history of being an ex-nunnery. Room was spacious, very comfortable bed and great shower pressure. Loved the welcoming snacks and balcony.

The ground floors rooms are a bit noisy being close to the kitchen and bar. Given that the hotel was a convent, it is inappropriate that some of framed art mocks Christianity.

An old school analogue room with a door key and a plug-in heater. A beautiful historic building sympathetically converted to a hotel.

It was hard to find certain things like cups for coffee etc... More information on facilities would have been useful. I think also too it was close to being a higher rated hotel than it currently is and my suggestion would be to offer room service or at least a way to order breakfast for the next morning.

I loved the quirky/cool art, the environment was warm, inviting and felt like a very cool space. Cool but also like you were at home.

I think housekeeping could be improved - no milk or teabags left after 2nd night had to go to the kitchen in the evening! Room wasn’t sorted on our 3rd day

Loved the place rooms were small but efficient - need a shelf in the bathroom and somewhere to put the jug - (off the floor)

I’ve stayed here a few times and this was the first time I’ve stayed downstairs right near Ada. During the day I didn’t find this an issue at all but it was very loud in the evenings, trying to get to sleep (I was travelling for work and had a couple of early starts). There is little to no sound proofing which is a shame.

I love the character of the property, the easy parking and great location!

Absolutely loved everything about The Convent; the renovation and vibe is superb with awesome artwork . Lovely area to walk the streets with so many beautiful homes and gardens but to top our stay off was dinner in the restaurant which was a complete surprise, one of the most memorable meals of our lives! Sorry but can’t remember the name.

I have no bad things to say :)

This place is absolutely beautiful, I could not recommend it enough. The rooms were immaculate, the bathrooms were beautiful, the soaps and the shower were great quality, the snacks/coffee/tea provided were great, every employee was so nice/accommodating, and the view from our balcony was stunning. Absolutely would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxed stay!

There was nothing I encountered that I would suggest for improvement.

There is a school next door we didn’t know was there; I would have requested to be on the other side if I’d known, but definitely not a deal breaker. (I needed to be up early anyway)

Our room was opposite the restaurant so quite noisy in the evening and morning. Also the school next door was loud with children playing. Neither of these things bothered us much but I think some people would struggle. Also a strange green light on the ceiling that is quite disturbing.

Beautiful hotel. Full of character. Friendly, welcoming efficient staff. Great location. Loved the free allocated parking. Loved this hotel.
