Not a huge problem, but you do need to go through two gates and if you are travelling alone it takes a bit getting out to open gates and drive forward etc which is what I found was a hassle doing myself. I would recommend taking everything you might need including dinner if its just the night trip so you can base yourself out in the bush without having to travel back out until the morning.

It was so soothing being out in the bush and away from the small surrounding towns. It was refreshing coming from the city and away from the hustle and bustle. Had everything you need with a great shower and all the amenities you would need for a short stay. Not too far from the nearest towns!

Only thing would be the trees have over grown past the property line obscuring the view slightly. However it feels nice to be surrounded by bush so it’s not a problem at all.

Everything! I had an amazing time staying at the Dome. Amir is such a friendly and welcoming host. He made sure I had everything I needed and really made me feel at home. The beautiful scenery surrounding the property added to the overall experience, making my stay even more enjoyable. The surroundings, the view, the design of the space, the decoration. It’s a very cozy place and Amir was very kind at the time of check in and allowed us to feed the Alpacas, we enjoyed it very much.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable so my back was a bit sore by the mornings. The creatures scurrying over the roof were a bit noisy. There were some cobwebs inside the dome and the internet didn't work for us until the night before we were checking out.

The Dome was set in a great idyllic location, not too far at all from the waterfalls, walks, Waihi and Paeroa town and just a bit further to the coast. It was a really nice touch having the option of using the fire-pit at night for warming up and also for toasting marshmallows, it was also really handy having bug sprays at the accomodation and I recommend using them if you are prone to getting bitten. The host was friendly and helpful.
