Couldn’t fault the property. Warm welcome, very comfortable room with a superb view and the use of a very nice lounge/breakfast area + the hostess did us personalised cooked breakfasts on both mornings we were there. Price was competitive too.

The property is located in a quiet part of town, perfect for people who want to be close to the action, but like a quiet evening. The breakfast was amazing, the view like a picture book and the nicest hosts I’ve ever had on any journey!

Everything was perfect

Janet our host was amazing. Nothing was to much trouble. Janets breakfasts were delicious. Our room had an outstanding view and was very clean. Bed was very comfortable and very large.

It was on a hill and parking was on a steep drive and the stairs outside the house were steep and narrow. Difficult for bringing in luggage. It was farther from downtown than I realized. I have a slight allergy to cats and they have a cat.

The lake views were stunning from the lounge and our room 3) Very clean and comfortable, room was so spacious 4) Janet was so helpful and friendly. She made us feel right at home! We stayed for 2 nights. One of the best properties we’ve stayed at and it was the perfect place to finish off our trip!

Absolutely nothing!

Lovely comfortable room, with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Janet was so friendly and helpful and provided an excellent breakfast, including homemade pancakes! Would definitely recommend The Embassy to anyone.

The property was really lovely and clean, and Janet made us feel at home. Miss Kitty (their cat) was an added bonus and was an absolute delight 💕

The house, lounge and room were beyond beautiful, extremely spacious and comfortable with a wonderful atmosphere. But more importantly - the hosts were just brilliant. Jan and Chris are just devoted to hospitality and it really shows - attentive, caring, warm, with Jan making us wonderful breakfasts every morning we were there, as well as providing a delicious complimentary cheese platter and drinks to welcome our arrival. Chris brews excellent cider, mead and stout which were some of the best we'd ever tasted. We cannot thank these wonderful people enough - a wonderful way to wrap up our NZ journey.

Parking on steep hill; lots of stairs

Street parking is limited and you can’t do a U-turn on this road so you’ll have to reverse for a short distance to reach someone’s driveway at a bend before you can drive forward. We found this tricky on the first 2 days, then we got used to it and it was no biggie.

Janet is an amazing host. She made us feel welcomed right from the beginning and we believe our trip was extra special thanks to her hospitality. We greatly appreciated Janet for going out of her way to cook us a tasty hot breakfast every morning, and for offering tips on what we can do/ see/ eat depending on where we plan on going to help us make the most of our time. The room is spacious and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. House keeping comes in every morning and does a wonderful job. The view of the lake and mountain from our bedroom was also stunning.

Driving by car up to the property is not too difficult. There you can not turn but have to drive steep backwards for at least 200 meters.

A nice room with a fabulous view and comfortable bed. A very good breakfast with Muesli and omelette. The host Janet is professional and discreet.

Not an issue for us but people should be aware that the property is accessed via quite a steep incline and we helped one elderly couple with their cases.

Very friendly welcome from Janet. We had to leave very early one morning for a trip but breakfast had been prepared and left in the fridge for us. Room was spacious and comfortable. No more than a ten minute drive from downtown Queenstown.
