We were met by the host, very welcoming! The view from the room over looking the lake was amazing! Room was well equipped and very clean. Under floor hearing in the bathroom was a bonus. Highly recommend for a stay here!

No toothpaste or toothbrush though not too big of a deal.

Host was nice, provided great service and the room had all the usual necessities. The view from the room was great and unobstructed. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils and having a washing machine plus dryer was handy as well.

Perfect ! .. Stayed in the Superior One-bedroom apartment with panoramic view. The views were simply stunning, adequate heating for both the living area & bedroom with the gas fireplace. Kitchen was well equipped. It felt like home away from home. Carpark was private below the unit itself, which was useful since it snowed while we were there. Would stay here again & recommend to anyone.

Perhaps a queen size bed would be a more comfortable size as my hubster occupied most of the bed. The sheets and blanketing were so soft.

The view was phenomenal. Lake Tekapo is gorgeous. The lady and her 2 dogs that met us were so friendly. The room was so clean, spacious and modern. I loved that the furniture wasn’t cheaply made chipboard or mdf. The bathroom was perfect and loved the heated flooring & open shower as well as the abundant fluffy towels. The town had so many restaurants to choose from. The property had a book made about the town, its history and things in the area you can do plus the restaurants. Lovely idea. Loved the milk in the fridge. Everything was thoughtfully planned for us. An absolutely perfect experience. Thank you.

I honestly expected to see a bath because I saw pictures of the bathrooms online, but I was told that this particular room (which for me as a solo traveler was actually quite pricey) is a studio apartment and “entry level” compared with the other apartments therefore no bath. Actually I only booked this place because of the bath so I was disappointed. I have Raynaud’s and I knew that I’d suffer from the below zero temperature on my dark sky tour. I had a hot shower when I got back from the tour instead and that was adequate. The bathroom in the studio apartment has no vanity so there’s nowhere to put toiletries etc. I communicated with the property owner by email and was offered the option of being picked up from town “for a fee” as I traveled from Christchurch to Takapo by bus. I declined, in favour of walking to the property. However I did ask if it would be possible to be picked up from the Dark Sky Project that night to which there was no response, so I walked there and back in below zero temperatures.

I stayed in “The Barn” which is the lowest price point for this property. When walked in I first noticed the warmth from the heat pump, which I appreciated very much on a cold winter’s day. Then I was delighted to find that the bathroom floor was heated .. divine! The bed was comfortable, the amenities were great, the view was lovely.

Bath was a little bit dusty/dirty but easy to clean. Couch was a bit uncomfortable/rigid for my liking.

Fireplace was wonderful. View was superb. Heated bathroom floors was a real luxury.

Lovely apartments very tastefully decorated. I loved the gas fireplace. I stayed in both the 2 & 1 bedroom apartment. The 1 bedroom only has a small fridge but was adequate & the bath was a bonus. The 2 bedroom is huge and the kitchen superbly fitted.

Maybe a pick up from the village town would have been more convenient as it is difficult to drag the luggage from town to the suite for a non-driver

The view was amazing!! Also the bathroom was modern and very spacious with heated flooring which was a lovely touch for the very cold mornings and evenings. The fire place was great bonus during winter.

Small draw back- small bed ? A double so both of us ended up with our feet off the bed- I'm a normal height woman and my partner struggled quite a lot being 6 3.
