Beautiful historic hotel but everything brand new. Very comfortable bedroom with all amenities including home made cookies!

The mattress is too soft, is like a hammock in some places. The check out at 10, which was non usual and strict, but then there was a queue at the reception. We could easily stay in the room until 11 either way. This rash is due to very limited staff that seem to respect the rules they exactly invented.

Historical building looking like Hogwarts with a great vine club restaurant, near Botanic Gardens and Museum. Beautiful design and atmosphere. Nice lounge downstairs.

Very classic and unique boutique hotel with amazing design! One the most interesting hotel we've been. Its an old university building with rich heritage. Staffs are super friendly and supportive.

Our room was lovely! It was very comfortable and clean and all the facilities were perfect! The bed was superbly comfortable! The check-in was easy and the staff most helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast. The sitting room was very relaxing and there was was a wonderful selection of books to browse through.

Location for a city adventure is fabulous. Peaceful but close to centre of town I. Easy walking distance to city centre. Such a special building that has been restored. Staff are so helpful. Rooms are stunning

A great adaptation of a former university science building to hotel use in a great location. Room was unconventional but fully functional. We walked or took tram for sightseeing. Many good restaurants close by.

The hotel is in a fantastic historical old building that has been renovated in a stylish manner to achieve quality fit out and very comfortable with all you need for a stay in Christchurch. Great location within walking distance to all the main attractions. Staff were wonderful to deal with.

We loved everything. Especially the library.

Simply amazing. One of the best hotel experiences ever - and we have had many. Such a lovely, historical college building, beautiful decor, cleanliness and perfect customer service. A beautiful room and bathroom, lovely bed and linens. We also liked the continental breakfast a lot. I have celiac diseace and had yet a good choise. The breakfast hostess earns our special thaks. Location in the Arts Centre was great with shops a lovely restaurants and a cafe. Sadly the antiquities museum was closed Mon - Tue. Also the museum tram has its stop very close. Keep up the service-minded spirit. Thank you! ♥️🇫🇮

Breakfast, mainly breads, cereals with no eggs available. Room had little space for clothing. 90% of my luggage items remained in the suitcase. No place to sit except for the bed. There was no view outside my window and the drapes remained closed most of the time.

Breakfast was mediocre, carb heavy selection, and certainly not worth the extra cost given there is a very nice cafe steps away from the hotel. Much noisier than I expected (HVAC and mini bar were very noisy, and helicopters overhead for the hospital). Hard to stay asleep until I turned off the AC because it was located right behind the head of the bed and generated a lot of vibration.
