Nothing really...would have been even more lively with a woodburnerbut the heat pumps are efficient, with one inlounge / kitchen and another fore the bedroom.

The school, house is a trip into the past full of local history and made comfortable for visitors with a new bathroom, comfy beds and heat pumps. Steve met us upon arrival, had made a fresh loaf of bread and left farm eggs and milk etc for ourcovenience. It is. SHORT DRIVE FROM SHOPS ETC BUT AN EASY ONE DON'T LET THIS DETER YOU FROM STAYING!

The shower hose had a kink in it which meant you had to hold it in your hand to get the water flowing properly.

Beautiful, quiet location in the countryside but so close to Te Awamutu. Lots of space, comfy beds and the extras of bread, eggs and milk was greatly enjoyed. Loved staying in a 'piece of history!'

Stayed for 1 night with 2 kids. Wish we could stay longer! It is cozy to stay and we did enjoy our time there. The view is beautiful, the house is beautifully furnished and it feels like going back to the old days. Steve and his family welcomed us with the freshly baked bread and farm eggs and that's very kind of them. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked some delicious meals. We enjoyed reading and playing boardgames together, and spotted the native birds and the owner's cat around. If you would like to enjoy the farm stay in NZ, you could not miss this place!

We had the whole house. The kitchen was a bonus as we cooked dinner and sat at the outdoor table. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the serenity of the rural location. Our welcome by Steve was warm and the fresh bread and the fresh flowers were a really nice touch. Thoroughly recommended.

    It was all good.

Steve and Sue were great hosts. They gave us advice of interesting places to visit in the area, provided background of the historical property. Steve brought over fresh bread and eggs; Sue gave a guided tour of their chicken yard, and even picked oranges from their tree for our breakfast! The former schoolhouse house was a spacious, comfortable, very well equipped separate lodging!
