Washing machine and dryer weren't there for use (as advertised) - not the end of the world but would have been handy. Very light at night - streetlights.

could of provided rubbish bags. Even just one so that we didn’t have to buy them separately but that’s really it. the bach was clean but was clean to a family bach standard not a commercial standard so set expectations to this . We also had to clean the outside of the lounge windows because they were filthy. still loved our experience there though.

lovely homely bach . really felt like we were staying at a family friends . Had everything you could ever require there. Great location and a nice plot of land. there was a hammock onsite which i couldn’t find anywhere to hang which was a shame . i probably missed the obvious location though!

Some light bulbs need replacing, cleaning under the second bedroom bed. For little kids a front gate at top of stairs? None of these are a big deal, just a note really.

We like it just the way it is. If you want a fabulous beach and a place to rest and relax, this is the place for you.

We stayed here in 2019 and were so pleased we could stay again. It's very close to the beach, just a couple of minutes' walk down the path to the water. It feels like our old childhood cottages in Canada. There is everything you could possibly need and more. The kitchen is well-stocked and well-equipped. It's just a few minutes to Dargaville which has grocery and liquor stores, a pharmacy, shopping and many restaurants and cafes. Sharkey's, just up the road, serves meals (also take away) and drinks and has great ice cream, as well as a small selection of groceries and souvenirs. It's a very popular place. Part of the charm for us was the lack of wifi, although there was a newer TV. Getting away from the rat race is what we looked forward to. The fresh air, hearing the waves at night and a super comfortable bed gave us the rest and relaxation we needed after nearly 5 weeks on the road. The weather wasn't good enough for us to use the lovely deck or barbecue, but we could enjoy the beautiful view from the living-dining area and the master bedroom. It felt like home.

A real Kiwi bach with charm, a beautiful outlook and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely to fall to sleep with the waves crashing on the beach below. Great beds, quality linen and beach or tree views from every room. Couldn’t have wished for a better location - a quiet cul-de-sac with a short walk down to a glorious wide sandy beach. Could have stayed a week or a lifetime!

It was a cute tidy bach, perfect location right next to the beach. We spent 3 days in Dargaville for business and so coming 'home' to the bach after a long hard day was just what the doctor ordered. With just basic TV and no internet connection it meant we had to revert to old fashioned conversation, crosswords and board games, a thing lost in todays world of technology - so it was awesome.
