Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe host is incredable person. Super friendly and cheerful. He told us many interesting things about local flora and fauna. The room was super comfy and breakfast delicious. In the morning we tried to milk cows at the neighbor farm and then climbed on Tokatoka mountain with incredable view.

New ZealandPeter is one of the kindness person I met in New Zealand. He is very welcoming and he really likes to make discovering his farm to people. Peter's farm is not just place to sleep, it's a all experience, where you have a lot of interaction with different animals.

New ZealandPeter really is a super host! Friendly, funny, very welcoming. Gave me a taste of farmers life in NZ. Enjoyed participating in milking the cows. Understanding why NZ produce the best milk and milk products in the world. Lovely Wee Angus, pigs, sheep, chickens and lama s among many other animals in the backyard. One of the best sleeps of my trip. Felt like family.

IrelandThis was such a lovely find and I would highly recommend it. It is definitely a highlight of our trip so far. Sara and Peter were so lovely and welcoming and we had such a wonderful time sitting around eating ice-cream after dinner and playing games. We got the opportunity to milk cows and feed the animals. Peter also took us on a walk up Tokatoka and gave us lots of information about the area.

United KingdomIt's a bit out of the way unless you happen to be going down that coast, we were so it worked for us
Great to get involved with the animals, feeding and moving them, and especially hands-on involvement with the milking of the cows in the morning. Also good to have Peter take us up Tokatoka peak, and tell is some info. We had a great dinner with Sara and Peter too.

Hong KongI just wished we had more time as we were visiting friends up North and were on a bit of a schedule. Even then we still had time to help milk the cows in the morning.
This is a brilliant take on the classic farm stay. Hosts Peter and Sara welcome you into their home, one filled with memories and moments from their own children's lives, and let you interact with a cast of animals ranging from donkeys and goats to alpacas and horses. There are also cats, lizards, turtles, pigs, guinea fowl, and our favourite, Tui the Dalmatian.

New ZealandNothing at all. too good to be missed, definitely recommended!!!
We had a fantastic stay at Peter and Sara's farm. Our host offered us so much fun real farm life experience for us, it is much more than what we could expect. Tui the lovely dog is just such a beautiful part of the experience, she is just adorable. Our kid still talks about Tui as we returns home. Not only for kiddies, we also had so much fun feeding animals, bush walking and learning horse riding skills....... It was super easy for us get to know everything around the house, it feels a home away from home from the moment we step in. Everything is comfory, tidy. It is very kids friendly, our boy loves his stay so much. Definitely we will be back one day! Thank you, Peter&Sara!

New ZealandA very tasty breakfast that was made for me including muesli, toast and free range eggs. When I arrived at night I mentioned that I was an amateur astronomer. Peter pulled out a whopping great big telescope from the garage. From both of our apps we identified a lot of stars and constellations in the sky and saw the rings of Saturn. The clearness of the sky rivalled that of Queenstown. Nice, friendly hosts Peter and Sarah. They also do farm stay. I thoroughly recommend the place to stay.
