We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOnly 1 mirror in bathroom which steamed up, No vanity area to apply make up and style hair, No iron or ironing board for clothes, No tumble drier to dry clothes when wet and rainy Lack of sockets throughout the unit, Lack of kitchen utensils and no pans or pots, Cooker was not acceptable with tinfoil under each ring and most not working or smoking when turned on.

AustraliaHad a bit of trouble figuring out the heating cause we live in Brisbane, AU, where we have no need of heating, but once we figured it out we were comfy as. Directions may have helped though.
Great location and lovely little garden attached to the house. Very cozy and clean with a super comfy bed, great heating and comfy furniture. Well-appointed kitchen and a very homey vibe.

New ZealandWe were extremely disappointed from the minute we arrived... not what we had expected... felt like an air B&B was waiting for extra people to walk in at any minute... Had to call owners (they don't live onsite) as only 1 large towel and two hand towels (one of those looked like it had been used by someone else) for extra towels for our stay as two of us .... There are no plugs in the unit, so we were unable to use the bath or basin. The supplied toiletries were a previously used soap and a near empty bottle of body wash ... no hand soap for washing hands. Tea towels looked like they were not replaced after the last guests, and the plates/cups needed washing before we could use them. The house felt like the owners had just moved out, the place was tired, and some curtains you couldn't close as not attached to the wall well.... Parting gift was the cockroaches in the kitchen... place needs a good clean and refresh Feel very ripped off, and if I could, I would like some of my money back ....
The only highlight of the place was the bed was comfortable.

The house is a bit hard to find but the host gave really good information which made it easy and had a carport for the car as well.

New ZealandLock box on the floor was difficult to access, couldn't re-lock it with the key. Smoke detector battery was low on the first night, when I arrived back the next day it was clear that someone had been there as this was no longer beeping and smoke detector was dis-engaged, this concerned me greatly. Food was left in the fridge that was not mine on arrival, free toiletries were a standard body wash and hand soap - general consumption only not usual hospitality toiletries... no idea who has used it before! No additional blankets so if its a cold night, wear more clothes or turn the heat pump on all night. Whilst bulk tea/coffee is available there was no milk. It was likely that this place is lived in unless there is someone renting it. I would never stay here again. Do not recommend.

Was so easy to access on the train (2 minute walk from nearest station) and much bigger than anticipated, beautifully clean with full cooking facilities. Easy contactless check in would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quieter city getaway.
