Considerable number of children that were screaming and noisy (day trippers) not the Properties fault but good to know that because of the proximity there are a lot of day trippers and on this occasion the children were not mindful of others around and were very loud jumping on furniture next to where we were seated. Would also suggest some background music in the restaurant, especially for dinner. Beautiful spot but did need a bit of atmosphere and that would make a difference.

Overpriced for tired and old room facilities, uncomfortable chairs in room and on deck, bathroom could do with overhaul, not enough seating in restaurant for guests, long wait for table, staff sent our bags to Picton on different boat to us leaving us wet and cold for two hours until our bags arrived back.

Easy getaway from Picton, nice view of water, great fish and chips.

We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.

We loved our time here. The spot is tranquil and beautiful. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There's so much to do for adults and kids and the accommodation is very comfortable. The meals in the restaurant are delicious and very generous servings. We didn't want to leave.

It was hard what to expect when it says “kitchen” facility. Would be nice to have different menu every night for dinner.

Everything was great would be nice to have a couple extra options on the dinner menu but otherwise the food was delicious and great quality.

Beautiful location and awesome staff. Loved that the kayaks we’re available to use adds a lot to the experience by having activities to do. The animal feeding tour/underwater observatory staff member was super knowledgeable and friendly she adds great value to your business! Overall had the best stay would love to come back sometime.

- It took a very long time for drinks to arrive, and also food. - Our starter of baked aubergine was over cooked and tasted like coal. But otherwise the food was very good. - Our bags were almost forgotten on the return boat journey, but the staff rectified after we pointed out they were missing. - some parts of the park (E.g. signs) are a but worn and could do with a clean/replacement

Great facilities, views are amazing, wonderful place to relax, and generally great staff service. Highly recommend visiting for a relaxing stay. Lots of activities to occupy yourselves with, or places to rest in peace.

It’s first class. From the time your bags are collected at Picton to when you reluctantly must leave again everything is taken care of extremely well. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The venue with all its trails and little highlights such as seeing Tuatara made it a special holiday for us.

Lochmara Lodge met all our expectations.

We walked into Lochmara Lodge from the Queen Charlotte Track, and after a long day of walking, appreciated the welcoming staff and great facilities. Our room had an outdoor seating area with beautiful views across the bay - just lovely. The room was spacious, clean and airy with comfortable beds, a hot shower and nice toiletries. We had organised our walk to finish at Lochmara Lodge and had a wonderful relaxing day enjoying kayaking, the walks and great food options that were available from the cafe and bar. A wonderful relaxing visit.

Loved everything. Such a beautiful slice of the marlborough sounds. Wonderful hosts. The lovely paula that helps you with the ferry bookings from picton to lochmara was the most helpful person you could come across. Nikky was just lovely and helpful. Nothing was ever to much trouble
