Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA little too far from downtown Queenstown. We had a car but we would choose somewhere close enough to walk in the future now we are aware of the lack of parking in Queenstown. I also couldn't have a drink when I drove or otherwise had to use Uber/taxis which adds up.
The view was great, the room modern and clean.

New ZealandStreet parking on a narrow street but wasn't a big issue at all.
Way better than expected. Clean and tidy studio. Outstanding views straight from the comfort of your bed, the natural views, lake, or even the lights and stars at night. Next time in Queenstown, we are not staying anywhere else. Every single penny was worth it.

It’s a beautiful location with magnificent view. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Queenstown. TV has Netfix and they have capsule coffee which is a plus.

AustriaIt's not a whole 'Ferienhaus' as in the german translation of 'holiday home'. It's just a very small studio (as correctly indicated by the squaremeters) below the terrace of the family's house, that has everything you need, but on a suuuper limited space (apart from the bathroom - that's huge in comparison to the rest)! With 2 people with 2 suitcases and some supplies for the kitchen, the container sized living/bed-room was absolutely overloaded. If you travel with light luggage you'll fit. There is no table to have breakfast, it's just a little 'something' next to the couch. WIFI was quite slow!
Great location with absolutely awesome views of the bay! Everthing in that studio is top quality and it's very tastefully and cleverly furnitured to use the limited space. For the location we'd definitely book again.

AustraliaThe view is amazing! I am ab aviation enthusiast and didn’t expect the view of the airport which was a great bonus. It’s a small space but the space is used well and beautifully styled. The extra touches of soaps and teas made it really nice after a big day.

United KingdomProperty was what estate agents might describe as "bijou". Pretty tight on space, with not much room for luggage/belongings. Anyone with mobility problems would struggle to access the property and surrounding area, as it was situated up a very steep incline. It was fine for our stay, as we enjoy walking and don't have any accessibility problems.
Very responsive host, nothing was too much trouble. Very clean property. Lots to like. Plenty of towels and products, such as shower gels, shampoo, conditioner and other products. Coffee pod machine was a nice surprise. The views were amazing. Property was about 5 km outside the city, but there was a lovely lakeside walk into Queenstown.

AustraliaThe unit was smaller than I was expecting from the photos - the small couch really only fits 1 person comfortably but it wasn't a drama as I just sat on the bed. It also meant we had to think carefully about where to put our luggage so we didn't trip over it in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom. Whilst the view is truly unbeatable the location itself is not in my opinion a 'good' location - you are not close to anything apart from the neighbours and it would be impossible to stay here without your own transportation. Having said that it is not very far from town but definitely not just around the corner where you can walk to it.
As per the other reviews the view here is absolutely spectacular - towards the airport (especially good if you like plane spotting as we do), of the lake and towards Queenstown proper. Having the first coffee of the day with that view was worth the very windy drive up and down the hill! Enjoyed the coffee machine and the selection of teas in the room.

GermanyA very nice, very clean and modern, comfortably furnished apartment. We felt very comfortable and would book again immediately!! The highlight, however, is the small terrace with a fantastic view of the lake and the mountains. You could spend the whole day there and enjoy the view. Incredibly beautiful, even when it gets dark and Queenstown is lit up. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!!:)

AustraliaWrong address. No way to access accommodation. No answer to the phone number provided as contact. Very lucky, person feeding dog of neighbours knew of right address and lock box and combination. If we didn't bump into her we would have been sleeping in our car most likely.
