The property has the potential to be a great place. Unfortunately it is a bit tired in areas which really let it down.

The shutter was broken, which gives you privacy between the bedroom and bathroom. One out of the 2 spas were warm but not hot enough to get in

Would like to see lights outside dining room lighting up trees and lake at night,would make it very special. ..Staff are a little timid and need to chat more with the customers? Would like to see packages of Bed,Breakfast and Dinner,targeting those who want to get away for the weekend and maybe retirees during the slow months.For example I am considering taking my family there for my birthday in September.Has great potential with the Chateaux closing.

Room was great,lovely view, very clean apart from sliding door to outside which needs attention , Loved the ambiance of old world charm, carpet on stairways, nice Bar and lovely dining room with views to the lake and open fire all under one roof.Dinner was good but need to order vegetables unfortunately,Sticky date pudding was superb' Buffet breakfast was very good.Drinks from bar were good and well priced. Staff were very nice but maybe a little timid?

Hot water was intermittent on check in but was consistent in morning. The power on TV was turned off on the back of TV it was very difficult to find and turn on. Fridge was noisy occasionally.

The weather wasn't great so we couldn't use the pools, spa and sauna.

Staff were great, we had to add more people to our booking and they were happy to make the changes. Upgraded our room, breakfast was good value. Would definitely come back again.

Bathroom was open to the sleeping area. Room was tired, worn. Needs updating. Noisy, from a tour group’s kids running the halls.

Peaceful with beautiful gardens and a lovely view of the Rotorua Lake. Lovely older style and interesting. Lovely to pull the curtains apart to such a view in the morning, a short walk from our room.

The air conditioning unit outside for the room next to us keep making a buzzing noise all night long, little bit annoying but the bed made up for it.

Loved the room layout and the bed was so comfortable! best sleep I have had in a long time. The cleaners do an amazing job as our room was spotless and staff were very friendly. Amazing value for money.

The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. Had the disability room which is perfectly located by restaurant, reception, carpark etc. So peaceful and relaxing with stunning view over lake. But the absolute highlight is the amazingly attentive and friendly staff who were welcoming and friendly. Make sure to book the inclusive breakfast - divine.

Aircon was noisy outside our room. The minor things not perfect came with the price. Again, VALUE for $ !

The lake view is nice. Our room was VALUE for money. Don't expect a 5* hotel when you pay camp-site prices. Staff were friendly & we enjoyed it
