Maybe a night light to get to the outside staircase would be an advantage.

Wanaka Stonehouse was very welcoming and comfortable. Having the mezzanine lounge and private access and close parking on site was very much a bonus. Spacious room and ensuite Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea. Informative and friendly owners.

Nice and simple breakfast with fruit, cereal, toast. Tea & coffee. Nothing OTT. Friendly landlord & landlady. Quiet and clean with a great room. Little terrace over the garden that was lovely to sit and look at the breeze in the trees. The fantails were flitting around too.

Great location, quiet but and just outside centre of Wanaka....a few minutes drive or 20 mins walk. Lakeside path within 5-6 mins walk, with nearby cafe at Edgewater resort on lake path. Lovely property and warm welcome from owners... On site Parking and good facilities. Nice bathroom with decent shower...!

Initially I thought that having no TV was going to be an issue, but as there is nothing to watch anyway, it was lovely to enjoy the quiet.

Comfy bed, lovely old bath tub and the out look onto the garden. Close to town, very short drive. Very close to lake and walking distance to Wanaka tree. Parking out front and lovely continental breakfast to fuel your day. Lounge area facilities were great, lovely big mugs, tea, coffee etc, microwave crockery and lovely sun soaked deck to enjoy your meal. Great selection of books.

Wanaka is a beautiful town and very suitable for vacation. Stonehouse is quite near the Wānaka Tree and Mr&Mrs Johnstone are absolutely warm and friendly and helpful!

It’s a little dated. A pretty 15-20 minute walk to town centre. Coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been preferred. Reference to ‘boutique hotel’ is a bit off the mark.

The Property is large and spacious. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included. Large hot tub available for guests

Not able to use kitchen facilities to cook - but were able to make sandwiches, tea/coffee etc.

5 mins walk to the lake (bit longer to centre of town, but along the lake so a fantastic walk). Very friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was cereal, toast, juice, coffee - as much as we needed.

A brood of starlings were scrabbling on the roof from the early hours!! Not sure if there is a nest in the roof space?

A lovely comfortable room with a large shower room, a mezzanine room for guests with tea/coffee and a balcony. The location is perfect for the ‘Wanaka tree’ and a 30 min walk from shops and restaurants. Alan and Nolene were the perfect hosts.

We loved being upstairs, but be mindful, if you have trouble with stairs to take this into consideration. Especially if you have big travel bags. For the couple of nights we stayed, it wasnt a bother for us.

Being in a beautiful suburban location was perfect for relaxing on first stop of our holiday. There was an amazing park nearby you could walk through to access the famous Wanaka Tree and town centre. The room we had accessed a cute verandah that linked to a lounge area on upstairs level, with fridge for guests and tea, coffee etc, so although we had private spacious room and ensuite (with bath) access to the house was so special, it is a really beautiful country style home that oozes warmth and character. Bed was comfy and quiet. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast in the downstairs dining room was lovely.

very large room and bathroom in a gorgeous wood and stone house near the lake. Alan and Noeline very welcoming. we had a balcony and chairs to enjoy the sunshine. clean and well stocked with lovely organic toiletries. there was cereal toast fruit and yoghurt which was enough for us for breakfast.

We were the only people staying there on the night. The owners were away, but left the premise in the hands of a neighbour(very good). Breakfast was great, room was great and the facilities were great. No TV which was great for us.

It's a B&B, so living upstairs of hosts' residence and breakfast is very basic, granola and toast.

We extended from 1 to 2 nights, and got a larger room with king size bed and veranda for the 2nd night, cozy the first night, perfect the second, very comfortable and spacious second night, 25 min walk to town, hosts very accommodating and helpful

Upon arrival, there was a sign on the bedroom door that you need to request the spa 10 hours prior. Earliest check in is at 3pm so this means you wouldn't be able to use the spa until 3 am? I messaged the host but unfortunately did not get a response until 7 hours later when I was sleeping (11:25 pm). This is something a host should simply message the guests about a day or two prior.

The house is beautiful with a lovely garden. It's rustic with a cozy mezzanine and balcony. Short walk to the lake and town center.
