The view was terrific, great to use the BBQ on the verandah while enjoying the view. Lots of steps which could be bothersome but not for us, just beware. A handy lift for the luggage was appreciated. The steps enable you to gain the height for the view!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Wharf View, but there were some peculiarities. Not show-stoppers but just not things you'd expect - no microwave, poor wi-fi and unusual arrangement of light switches.

This apartment was beautifully located with a fantastic view. We very much enjoyed sitting on the balcony, and the easy walk to the town centre. Having the cable car to take our cases up the significant steps in the front yard was a great bonus. Very clean and comfortable. Well appointed with crockery, cutlery etc and helpful and readily accessible hosts.

No heater in the apartment. No bread board, no plain teabags (box was empty on arrival). No body wash, tissues, handy towels. No radio. The dish sponge was really dirty. No rubbish bin liners. Quite a few things really that would have been easy to have made available. No mirror in the main bedroom. All little things that make your stay easier. We have stayed at a lot of different houses, units, apartments over the years and haven't experienced this before.

Breakfast wasn't an option. The location was excellent.

just missing the little extras and attention to detail that is usual in this price bracket - nice toiletries , extra towels only 1 tissue in a box - had to ask for coffee - no rubbish bags …. and shower needs a little attention with cable tie attached at top

The property is in a fabulous spot and I always enjoy staying. Bathroom has a noisy fan that needs to be fixed. Suggest to add a new switch for the fan so it doesn’t go on all the time with the light. A small table or cabinet would be a welcome addition in the bathroom to hold your toiletries. Bedroom 2 - single beds, would benefit from a side table and lamp. Bedroom 1 - Queen bedroom, needs something to hang your clothes on, eg hook on back of the door or a stand.

We were surprised by the steep stairs to the property. Although we were fit enough and able to manage them, other guests may have found it difficult.

The property is accessed via a very steep flight of steps - be aware of this if anyone in your party has mobility issues.

Janette & John were great hosts, meeting us to let us into the property and providing complimentary food for a breakfast or supper. Property is in a great location close to the village with a fabulous view. Very comfortable and well appointed.

The easy and lovely why John & Jeanette was so approachable, we had very much privacy, awesome location , came up from Coromandel Peninsulas as partner did the Coastal Classic Yacht Race so it was a awesome spot to see the yachts come in thank you to you both

Very little extras included. No soap, tissues, no coffee machine (and a decent walk to get one) BBQ didnt work. Had trouble with washing machine. A few little extras could make this a great stay. 1 towel each, no handtowel or washer or any toiletries.

The bathroom and kitchen wasn’t clean, there was mold in the fridge and the toilet and basin weren’t clean

No proper cover over the balcony, which meant we could not use the balcony due to the rain although it was warm enough to sit out if there had been a cover. Very poor wifi. Could only get on the internet while stood in one specific spot in the apartment. Very limited TV channels and no Sky, Netflix or Amazon options. Toiletries provided were in used half filled bottles.

The hosts are lovely. However, this property is not an Apartment. It is a Flat under an occupied house (less privacy). More like a home stay. The 3 tier staircase up to the house is really hard work and inconvenient in bad weather. There is a damp problem and the entry smelt bad. The kitchen also smelt damp and mouldy. We booked because there are two bedrooms but we could not have our son and daughter with us as this was not allowed even though we should have been able to sleep 4 (Queen and 2 single beds).

There were mouse droppings in the dish rack. It was expensive considering there were not any nice little extras. There was only a small amount of hand soap which ran out on day two of our stay. No milk which was disappointing. Things like glad wrap or tin foil could have been useful. The steps were a hassle. Not being aware we needed to take away the rubbish - we had no rubbish bags to do so.

The location was excellent and the view was astounding. Hosts were nice.
