Great overnight stop at Wisteria Way. Well-located to visit the kauri trees and break up the drive from Cape Reinga to Auckland. Room was cute and comfortable. Common area was well-equipped and had everything we needed to self-cater (including a dishwasher!). Shared bathrooms were sparkling clean. Breakfast was a highlight—I appreciated that our host was willing to make the pancakes dairy-free to accommodate my allergy.

Wisteria Way is a really beautiful place to stay and the perfect base for exploring Waipoua forest. Our room was really cute and we loved the gardens. Very good value for money, too!

No complaints at all

Everything, their gorgeous gardens, the shared kitchen and dining areas, the owners were a pleasure to meet and chat with. So hospitable! The breakfasts were terrific, fresh and delicious. The adjacent coffee & gift shop was delightful. Our room was very nice, and the bathroms were neat and clean. There was also a washing machine available at certain hours. The proximity to the Kauri forests was a big plus!

That I only stayed one night.

Can't be more positive about this place. It's super cozy, everything is super clean and it smells nice, even the bunk beds feel like you're sleeping on a cloud, there's an adorable cat, great communal space, cute little shop where I got breakfast in the morning. I want to live here.

Beautiful cabins and garden as well as common kitchen and bathrooms. Such a lovely and nice place. Kids loved the pancakes for breakfast too. Great little shop and Cafe.

This has to be the best place we have stayed whilst touring NZ. Setting beautiful, cottages exceptional, kitchen facilities also fantastic, shower and wc all great. Hosts lovely. Breakfast fantastic. Honestly have nothing but positive things to say. We loved staying here. Thank you 😊

Loves the facilities they were clean and like a home away from home. And the hosts were amazing. Loved the peace and quiet. I could is live there. Loved how it is set in the garden, felt like the cottage was part of the garden , not the other way around.

Very clean and cosy. Really good shared facilities with little touches like shower amenities. The kitchen/common area is well equipped. Wished we stayed longer. Will be back :)

Literally everything. It was just a wonderful place that felt like home right away with the loveliest hosts ever. Everything was really clean and got cleaned every day. We were sad to leave and would go back right now. It feels like you are part of the family. Bruce, Teresa and their daughter are the best. 💜

Being very pernickity but I couldn’t find a baking tray.. I had to use a cake tin to roast veggies. Nowhere to lock-up valuables but the rooms locked during the day so that gives peace of mind. Didn’t feel unsafe though.

Incredible facilities. Hotel-style bathroom (amazing after being used to hostel bathrooms!), and lovely kitchen and common area with TV, books etc. Quiet location. Owners were lovely and the right amount of being involved without intruding on my stay

We had such a lovely greeting from Bruce when we arrived. He showed us around and got us settled in. Felt like we were visiting family. It was very homely. The fruit and flowers made the property super magical. All of the facilities were exceptional.
